Rated 5 out of 5 by Samantha2 Lake mead cruise
For a dinner cruise this is one of the best. It rides around the lake towards Hoover Dam. April may be a bit early because by the time we arrived at the dam, the sun was almost down. Another week or two, the sun might be there for viewing the dam. So cruise was good; all sic of us enjoyed the experience.
We drove ourselves, too, so no bus comments.

The tour was great. the tour says lunch will be provided. i called to verify before hand and i was assured something would be provided. once on the boat we were told that only those on the "tour" bus who were picked up had that privilege. the staff was not so friendly in explaining this and this is miss guided information. great thing we decided to eat lunch before just in case! if purchasing this ticket like i did.... no lunch is provided! please be aware of the false information.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Seabees A good experience. Not the "greatest".... but good.
It was quite windy during our sail (late June) -- so standing out on the open deck wasn't fun. Plus the wind was HOT!! Nothing the company had control over - we understand.
The food was good.... as was the service..... but I only have two negatives to say. First: that I (we) - a party of 4 - felt rushed during the meal experience.... and second: very good bread was brought out first and we really enjoyed it..... but when we asked for more bread (because the staff picked up the bread baskets before the salads were served).... we were told there was only enough for what was served at each table. Really?? I think the company should rethink that and have more available for those who ask for it.
And I do wish the Captain had announced..."We will be arriving at Hoover Dam in xx minutes".... so people would know that that part of the trip was about to happen and could make their way to the observation deck if they so desired. For photos, etc.
I will end by saying..... the sunset was AWESOME!!!

Vegas.com neglected to send our reservation to the people at Desert Princess but once that was straightened out, the cruise was beautiful.

I was sad to hear that the dinner cruise was going away. We were on the last cruise they were going to host at night. I do have to admit that I'm not really surprised though. While we enjoyed ourselves tremendously we couldn't take any picture due to how dark it was outside. When we got to the Hoover Dam it was beautiful with the lights and all, however when we tried to take pictures they came out totally black. This cruise would be more beneficial done during daylight.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Inthedark It was great, but some flaws.
Overall we had a great time. The food was very good. The only things that I would have liked better would be:
1. If possible a better sign at that last turn for the parking lot, even though you can park by the marina and walk the shore to the pier.
2. This is the more important one. If you are going to have a sunset cruise, please depart before sunset. I know you want to have a consistent departure time, but as the seasons change please make adjustments accordingly. We departed after sundown and couldn't see any sights in the dark.
Other than that I think everything else was good. The cruising speed was smooth and you didn't really know the boat was moving. The staff was good, hard working people, who were very nice. Definitely would recommend, but maybe a lunch cruise depending on the season.
