Wayne Newton: Up Close and Personal

Wife and I both thought Wayne put on a fabulous and heartwarming show . Listening in person to his songs and stories about his life growing up and the many stars he new personality New and work with and meeting his lovely wife and his band mates was a very enjoyable entertaining night .

We bought tickets to see Wayne Newton primarily to see him live for the first and only time in our lives. Our expectations included hearing some old familiar songs and having an enjoyable evening. No disrespect to Mr Newton, but that was about it for us personally. WOW!! Were we wrong! This was a fabulous show featuring an amazing entertainer and his wife. At the conclusion, the audience leaped to their feet cheering and clapping-- totally authentic reaction to seeing a once-in-a-lifetime show! Absolutely over-the-top!!!

It was my mom's birthday this week and Wayne had a show on her actual birthday. She'd been wanting to see him since she was a little kid. Of course I had to get the Meet & Greet tickets and I'm glad I did. We sat at the table right in the center of the stage, which was the perfect spot. The whole show was wonderful! His stories, the video clips from a few of his early shows, plus all the songs he sang. His wife and the three band members are all in sync with him. He sounds amazing, and all of them were fantastic. If you are a Wayne fan in any way, you will love this show. Esp since the theater is so intimate. It does feel like you're in a living room having a private concert. Because you are! We highly recommend seeing him in this concert venue. We loved every minute of it!

We came away with new respect for Wayne Newton. He is still a very talented musician!! No one better on the steel guitar, banjo, and especially the violin/fiddle!!!. He also shared some personal history and lots of Las Vegas history with old pictures and anecdotes. The theater was small and felt very personal.
