Booked this hoping for a great time and wasn't disappointed. Worth the cost. Picked us up at the hotel where we we're staying. Didn't have to hassle with driving and worrying about getting tickets. It was all taken care of by the guide. Our tour guide was fabulous, knowledgeable, and made it a fun time. Hoover Dam was an Amazing site to see, and the boat ride was nice and relaxing. It was a good hour ride down Lake Mead and went to the Hoover Dam as well. Beautiful scenery and the lunch that was included was good, healthy, and filling.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ric16 Good Experience - Recommend
Overall was Good - only issue felt was over booked by Tour Operator in regards to number of People on the Boat for single Cruise - limited Room
Boat has 3 Decks - only 2 Decks are Climate Control with Table Seating - upper 3rd Deck only plastic lawn seats in the Heat.
I guess if you do not mind the Heat with no table - would be acceptable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Pedigotx Overall Great!
Gary, our tour guide, was extremely informative. We were impressed with the information he shared. He has done this tour for many years and it shows. The Hoover Dam tour was shorter and less in-depth than expected, but extremely interesting. Boat tour, Desert Princess was disappointing. The lunch was blah. The bathrooms were broken. The boat needs some updating.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Redstick A Great Tour With Exceptions
The coach ride, tour and lunch cruise was great. The one downside is that the Chocolate factory was closed for renovation. We were not notified when we booked. They gave my wife and I a couple small chocolates at the ticket counter. Big Whoopie :(.
The box lunch on the Desert Princess was adequate but not a wide selection. The speaker system that was used to discuss Lake Mead and it's highlights was trash. Worse than some I have heard in the past at fast food restaurants. This needs to be corrected if you care about hearing the canned tour guide messages.
If I go back again I would book just the underground Hoover Dam tour and bypass the boat ride.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CB1965 Ladies and Gentlemen, Here's Gary!
Tour guide Gary was great. Van's AC was a bit to be desired. Hoover Dam tour is highly recommeded, but not sure we got the full 90 minutes. Lake Mead boat tour was good, but lunch is very basic for the $135 a person cost. Tip not included for Driver/Tour Guide, so factor that into your total cost. Unique views of Hoover Dam from boat ride. Overall I think I woulld plan my own trip to Lake Mead and pack our own lunch, but Gary went out of his way to show us Bighorn Sheep up close and personal. If you don't want the hassle of drving, parking, getting tickets, etc. on your own then this tour is for you.

We really enjoyed the whole 7.5 hour tour. Our tour guide Chuck picked us up earlier than expected and we had a delightful group of 12 people in the van that made the time fly by. Chuck went above and beyond what was expected and gave an in depth history of all we saw. He kept us on time so we could get to the Hoover dam tour, get on the paddle boat, and go to Ethel M chocolate factory. We even had some time to peruse the Cactus gardens. The amazingly peaceful beauty of Lake Mead and Black Canyon is truly best seen by boat. We were given a boxed lunch (sandwich and fruit, soda). So glad we found a tour that was pleasant and educational.
