Rated 3 out of 5 by chuck888 River tour was great. The social skills of the tour van driver were very poor.
The tour bus driver was rude, argumentative, and unhelpful.

Loved this trip, just what I needed after a few days in Vegas. If you have children this is perfect not sure of age limit I think 12 but well worth it. They were on time and professional. Our tour guide on the raft was Brian, suggest him if you can, he was worth it. He answered every question and was enthusiastic about the river even though he has been touring for 24 years! He was good with kids. This was our first raft trip we wanted to do before a week long on the river in Grand Canyon.

Rated 1 out of 5 by BeckyDon52 Fantastic Tour You Won't Want To Miss
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour package. The guide was great and thorough - full of knowledge and so pleasant. We enjoyed every minute of it - from being picked up at hotel - taking the tour - and being returned to hotel. Worth every penny!!!! We had a great time and can't wait to tell everyone so they could try it when they visit Vegas. Thank you for the great product/tour of the Black Canyon Raft Ride.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Waltzx "Adventure" somewhat misleading
More of an informational and historical tour than an "adventure" tour. Starting at the base of the Hoover dam you get an unique perspective of the dam and a great photo opp. The guide was extremely knowledgable and made a number of stops to give additional detail and allow pictures to be taken.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mcheng OK way to spend your last day in vegas
I picked this trip because it was rated 4.7 or 4.8 stars on vegas.com. That's way overrated. There isn't much activity you can do - you sit in a giant raft that sits 30 people, and every once in a while the guide tells you something about the river. the lunch spot, and 30 foot spit of sand, is too small to fit everyone so most people choose to sit on the raft and eat. You don't get much exercise, and you really don't learn all that much about the river, or the dam. Our guide was more interested in telling us about government waste than history or geology. Having said all that, after spending a couple days on the strip and in sunless casinos, it was great to get outside and just hang out in the sun, take a dip, and float lazily down a river. We went in July, maybe the hottest day of the year, but it was actually pretty refreshing because they give you cold water towels, and the river water is brisk. Just bring sunscreen. The trip is slightly too long, but being on a river felt great. In no way am I an outdoorsman, but maybe another more active tour will be our next choice.

We throughly enjoyed the Black Canyon River Raft... We had a very knowledgeable Tour Guide Leslie who was joyful sharing all her great information with our group. I brought my two boys, ages 19 and 10 and they both loved it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jodi58 Really beautiful "3 hour tour"
It was a perfect day on the river! Starting at the base of the Hoover Dam gave us breathtaking photo ops. Our guide, Brian, was knowledgeable and humorous. A lovely, light picnic lunch and 2 opportunities to swim. The water was frigid, but it felt good once you were in. Highly recommend this trip to people who just want to float leisurely down the river and enjoy scenery and weather.
