Rated 4 out of 5 by Mcheng OK way to spend your last day in vegas
I picked this trip because it was rated 4.7 or 4.8 stars on vegas.com. That's way overrated. There isn't much activity you can do - you sit in a giant raft that sits 30 people, and every once in a while the guide tells you something about the river. the lunch spot, and 30 foot spit of sand, is too small to fit everyone so most people choose to sit on the raft and eat. You don't get much exercise, and you really don't learn all that much about the river, or the dam. Our guide was more interested in telling us about government waste than history or geology. Having said all that, after spending a couple days on the strip and in sunless casinos, it was great to get outside and just hang out in the sun, take a dip, and float lazily down a river. We went in July, maybe the hottest day of the year, but it was actually pretty refreshing because they give you cold water towels, and the river water is brisk. Just bring sunscreen. The trip is slightly too long, but being on a river felt great. In no way am I an outdoorsman, but maybe another more active tour will be our next choice.

We throughly enjoyed the Black Canyon River Raft... We had a very knowledgeable Tour Guide Leslie who was joyful sharing all her great information with our group. I brought my two boys, ages 19 and 10 and they both loved it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jodi58 Really beautiful "3 hour tour"
It was a perfect day on the river! Starting at the base of the Hoover Dam gave us breathtaking photo ops. Our guide, Brian, was knowledgeable and humorous. A lovely, light picnic lunch and 2 opportunities to swim. The water was frigid, but it felt good once you were in. Highly recommend this trip to people who just want to float leisurely down the river and enjoy scenery and weather.

Our family really enjoyed this rafting tour. I was worried if our 11 and 8 year olds would not like being on a raft for 3 hours. They loved it! The view of the dam was amazing. The rafting was relaxing. It was fun when you stopped and got to take a dip in the water. We saw wildlife. I highly recommend this excursion.

by Summergirl Awesome!!
A very nice, gun, relaxing cruise down the river. The weather was scorching, the sun beaming, but the chilly water from the river is guaranteed to keep you cool. We docked at the side of a beach talong the way to have our lunch and if you're brave enough take a dip in the 55 degree water......Brrrrrrrr.....

by bbarger117 A fun and educational tour.
Brian (our tour guide) was very knowledgable about the local area, Lake Mead, Colorado River and the Hoover Dam. He was also very fun and entertaining, making the tour very enjoyable. Thanks Brian!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Kat122mur Beautiful BUT...
I thought the tour was beautiful, gorgeous scenery and being from the East Coast, it was breathtaking.. That being said, the tour co was 45 minutes late picking me up, they never returned my calls the day before to confirm pick up location or to advise they were running late. SO I thought maybe we missed our pickup. Very upsetting way to start an excursion on vacation. The day I went it was extremely windy, 30-35mph gusts. SO not just a little wet, soaked from head to toe for the entire 3 hours. I think the tour guide could have gone a little slower and it would have been much more enjoyable. BUT they were so far behind schedule, it seemed like he was rushing down the river. Again it was beautiful but it was like having a 5 gallon bucket of water dumped on me for 3 hours

Me and my children completed this tour on June 12, 2016. The shuttle picked us up at our hotel, The Mirage, which was very convenient. The tour was beautiful and peaceful and our guide made the tour interesting and pleasurable!! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone!
