Top 10 Poolside Restaurants

The weather's warm. The sun is shining. You want to be outside by the pool (especially if you're visiting from certain other parts of the country). No matter how much you're enjoying basking in the sun or partying it up at a pool club you still have to take some time out to eat.

Or maybe you aren't partying at the pool but you’d just like to dine al fresco with a view of sparkling water. Hey, it's the desert – we like to look at water whenever we can.

Lucky for you there are lot of places in Vegas where you can dine poolside. Bonus: Flip flops and board shorts are acceptable attire at most of them.

Veranda, Four Seasons
While Veranda has a light and airy dining room, we like to head outside to eat on the patio overlooking the Four Seasons’ quiet, secluded pool area. The restaurant serves fresh Italian cuisine like pastas, pizzas and seafood, but what you really want to go here for is the famous weekend brunch buffet. They have a doughnut machine. Need we say more?

Border Grill, Mandalay Bay
Mandalay Beach is one of the most impressive pool areas in town and Border Grill’s outdoor patio overlooks the pool’s lazy river. Watch people float leisurely by while you sip a margarita or a mojito. Nosh on tacos, ceviche, salads, tamales and more from Food Network’s “Two Hot Tamales” chefs Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger.

Terrace Point Cafe, Wynn
You can gaze at the views of the gardens and pool area at Wynn through the floor-to-ceiling windows at this café, but why do that when you can sit on the patio outside? The restaurant serves breakfast and lunch. For breakfast you can choose from things like croissant French toast, Belgian waffles and buttermilk pancakes. For lunch there’s sandwiches, salads, pasta, tacos and specialty burgers including a truffle mushroom burger. Pair your burger with a malted shake. You can’t go wrong with the chocolate caramel nut flavor.

Culinary Dropout, Hard Rock Hotel
This gastropub has an outdoor patio with views of the Hard Rock’s pool area, which is one of the hottest party and people-watching spots around. Dine on everything from sandwiches and salads to fried chicken. Our advice: Order the house-made pretzels with provolone fondue.

Pool Cafe, Mandarin Oriental
If you’re looking for a more refined poolside dining option, head to the eighth floor pool deck at Mandarin Oriental and grab yourself a table or private cabana. The cafe serves classic breakfast dishes like omelets, breakfast burritos and smoothies. For lunch, order crispy calamari, a mezze platter with pitas and hummus, salads, burgers or skirt steak tacos.

On a hot day we love the refreshing treats they serve here like the roasted strawberry sangria popsicle, the macaron ice cream sandwich and the milkshakes. Try the Girl Scout Cookie shake with crushed mint Oreos, chocolate ice cream and crunchy white chocolate pearls.
