Music legends ZZ Top, "That Little ol' Band from Texas," rolls into the Palms hotel for a night of hits. Kenny Wayne Shepherd joins the star to make the show dynamic and magical.
One of the most visible denizens of Southern rock, ZZ Top, will be rollin' into Vegas, beards and all. The trio of Billy Gibbons (guitar), Dusty Hill (bass) and Frank Beard (drums) were formed in Houston in 1969 from two rival bands.
They gained national attention as ZZ Top with the hit "La Grange" from their third album, which remains a classic riff piece. The group continued its success throughout the '70s, which culminated in the year-and-a-half "Worldwide Texas Tour."
After a three-year break, ZZ Top returned with a new label and the smash album, "Eliminator," which yielded "Gimme All Your Lovin," "Sharp Dressed Man," Legs," and some of the most memorable videos in MTV history. Its follow-up, "Afterburner," although a decent effort, couldn't replicate the wildy-successful "Eliminator."
In 1999, ZZ Top celebrated its 30-year anniversary and original three-member staff with the album "XXX." They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.
Kenny Wayne Shepherd, a young blues rock guitarist, is filling the air with his hits such as "True Lies," "Blue on Black" and "Dark Side of Love." Rising to success in the mid-90s, this radio vanguard is ready to light up the Vegas stage.
Let the good times keep rockin' and rollin' while ZZ Top and Kenny Wayne Shepherd serenade the night away.
