A 2-acre retail venue, the Grand Bazaar Shops has been dropped smack-dab in the center of Las Vegas Boulevard and spans 26,500 square feet of prime real estate on one of the busiest intersections in the world. It's also the only open-air mall on the Strip where all you window shoppers who are “just looking” can keep your wallets tucked safely away.
The Grand Bazaar Shops features colorful canopies over the passageways between micro-boutiques. After dark, the rooftops are illuminated in a bright neon rainbow display. Mosey along promenades until one of the many interactive experiences catches your eye. There's more to do than just shop. Watch artists create one-of-a-kind pieces, hell - you can even become one of the artists by designing your own sandals. Haggle prices at Swarovski, shoot the breeze with a hologram at Bettie Page and once you wear yourself out, indulge in an array of culturally-diverse eateries that don't require a passport to get to.
There will be more than 120 mid-range shops to explore when the mall completely opens, including Hammitt's flagship store, Swatch, UGG, TOMS and Disney Fine Art. But it's not just the big names that will win your heart; there are a slew of international boutiques that also call the mall home. U.K. fashion retailer, Superdry, the Brazilian footwear brand, Havaianas, and Costa Rican jewelry brand AG by Ana Gutierrez Wearable Art, to name a few.
If you're still around at 8:55 p.m. and 11:55 p.m., which is likely since the boutiques don't close until after midnight, watch the 4,000-pound Swarovski Starburst light show suspended high above their store. We can't think of a better way to bring in a new day (hey-that rhymes-two points for us).
Open daily, 9:30 a.m.- 12:30 a.m.
