The Rainforest Cafe, formerly located at MGM Grand, has moved down the street to the Harmon Corner Retail Center. The new location features a large outdoor patio with views of the Strip and City Center across the street.
The restaurant recreates the sights and sounds of a tropical rainforest with lush decor, animatronic jungle animals and regular faux thunderstorms. Kids will love Tracy the Talking Tree, Nile the Crocodile, a 14-foot croc who greets diners and Julius Squeezer, a 25-foot boa constrictor who hangs out in a tree near the main entrance.
The food at Rainforest Cafe is also family friendly. Kids and adults can dine on salads, pastas, burgers, seafood, steaks and more. Popular dishes include the Rasta Pasta with grilled chicken, walnut pesto and vegetables and the Tribal Salmon or Caribbean Coconut Shrimp. Signature sweets include the Sparkling Volcano, a a rich chocolate brownie cake served warm with vanilla ice cream, fresh whipped cream and caramel and chocolate sauces.
Adults can hang out in the Lava Lounge, a bar with TVs and cocktails served in souvenir glasses.
Commemorate your visit with a stop in the retail store, which features clothing and a variety of rain forest-themed items and stuffed animals.
