The 8,000-square-foot restaurant features dark woods and funky design touches like a Mason jar lighting fixture. It seats 180 guests in a main dining room and two private rooms.
The "bar" part of the Southern Table & Bar has a unique cocktail program and an exclusive ice program, complete with a special on-site ice room where mixologists harvest hand-cut blocks for an array of libations. Try the Yardbird Old Fashioned with bacon infused bourbon, bitters and maple syrup, served with a two-inch ice sphere.
The "table" part of the Southern Table & Bar features a menu full of Southern favorites. Start out with deviled eggs topped with fresh chive and "redneck caviar," aka smoked trout roe. Another tasty appetizer is the fried green tomato BLT, made with pork belly, greens, tomato jam and house-made pimento cheese.
For a main dish, try Yardbird's specialties like chicken 'n' watermelon 'n' waffles: chicken, honey hot sauce, spiced watermelon, cheddar cheese waffle and bourbon maple syrup. Another favorite is Mama's Chicken Biscuits: chicken, pepper jelly, house pickles and house-made buttermilk biscuit.
The restaurant also serves brunch on the weekends. For a dish with a Vegas touch, try the '77 Elvis pancake, a chocolate chip pancake with banana compote, bourbon maple syrup and peanut butter.
