Oyster Bay is a casual restaurant located in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood. The restaurant features dishes like fried calamari, coconut shrimp, lobster bisque and clams on the half shell.
A cheery clams posillipo is a great way to start the meal, with tender littleneck clams in a delicate tomato broth, garlic, parsley, and white wine. Make sure to sop up the broth with thick slices of garlic crostini.
One of the fish house specialties is a lobster fra diavolo -- a lobster split in two, filled with crab meat, calamari, clams and mussels and served with tomato sauce and linguine. Other fish house specialties include surf and turf, broiled live Maine lobster stuffed with crab meat, and Alaskan king crab legs.
A tempting sea scallops oreganata, made with Italian bread crumbs, garlic and fresh herbs can be equally outdone by the Cajun salmon, jumbo shrimp Francese, New York sirloin or a simple sesame crusted ahi tuna.
The cioppino features fresh halibut, salmon, shrimp clams, mussels and calamari, cooked with a touch of garlic and marinara sauce and fresh spices. Make sure to get extra garlic crostini for sopping.
Stuffed shrimp with crab meat and bread crumbs in a beurre blanc is sensational. Meaty jumbo shrimp with succulent crab meat drowned in butter sauce -- there's no way you can go wrong.
Oyster Bay has an oceanside dock feel, with straw awnings and wood posts with nautical rope serving as the partition to the Miracle Mile corridor. Spanish tile accents, bistro-style tables and a center stage bar gives Oyster Bay a casual dining experience, with casual-upscale food.
Oh, and one more thing -- the Alaskan king crab cocktail. Jumbo crab legs are towered high and served with lemon wedges and cocktail sauce. The pre-split, very meaty crab leaves nothing left to do but devour. This is one of the best values in town.
