P.F. Chang's inside Planet Hollywood welcomes guests with a warm atmosphere of dark woods and earth tones. The two-story eatery also features patio dining facing the Strip.
The story-telling painting that hangs over the exhibition kitchen is a piece of a mural, which was separated into sections that now hang in other P.F. Chang's around Las Vegas. It's an added touch to the restaurant's authenticity.
The chefs are taught to be respectful of the culture and traditions that are the foundation of the dishes they prepare. Mandarin-style wok cooking is used to prepare the dynamic menu, along with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Light sauces are used to complement the entrée, not drown it. The flavors and aromas stimulate the senses and create cravings for more.
Appetizers include famous Chang's lettuce wraps. These delectable little "Chinese tacos" are perfect to begin the meal. Dumplings also are a good start; pan-fried or steamed, these small pot stickers set the stage for the next course.
Seafood, chicken and duck, meat and noodle dishes all appear as choices for an entrée. Served family-style, it's easy to get a taste of a few concoctions. If you like it hot, try Chang's spicy chicken. Vegetarian? Try the vegetable chow fun with wide rice noodles after some appetizers of Shanghai cucumbers, vegetable dumplings, vegetarian lettuce wraps or harvest spring rolls.
Save room for dessert. The banana spring rolls are a rich, ooey-gooey way to wrap up a meal at P.F. Chang's.
