I got what I expected - just an average, if that, hotel room at a downtown Las Vegas location. I normally stay at the Four Queens which I feel is a little better than the Fremont. Neither is as good as the Golden Nugget nor a 'strip' location but you get what you pay for.
Going through Vegas.com created a little confusion at check-in but it all worked out. Using Vegas.com did not save me any money nor appeared to be advantageous in any way.

Rooms are not bad, small. The bathrooms are Tiny though. I would not stay at the Fremont again. Spend the extra money and stay at the Golden Nugget.

First time staying downtown Vegas. My stay at the Fremont was the best time ever! This hotel will be my go-to place from now on! Perfect location with great rooms and staff! Thank you for such a fun trip!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by xHobiex Good non-summer hotel/casino, worth the money, but had some issues.
I'll get right to it:
Great location right on Fremont Street Experience. Walk to virtually everything you could want to do.
Staff was friendly and helpful
Tony Roma''s ha's good, affordable food for dinner.
Room was comfortable and nice. Bed was extremely comfortable!
Room cost was incredibly low for a weekend.
No pool, so I would never stay here in the summer.
The 'Filament Bar' they advertise as some kind of hip spot is nothing more than a small casino bar adjacent to the gaming floor. Nothing special about it.
The rooms facing Binions, (like ours), have zero light shielding, even with the curtains drawn. The bright blue neon lights from Binion's lit up our room substantially. This is not the ultra dark Vegas hotel room you crave after a night of drinking.
Lack of bathrooms on casino floor is appalling. ONE bathroom for entire floor. Other bathroom was being remodeled.
Overall, a good, not great experience. I would stay here again in the off-season, however.

Requested non-smoking room with 2 extra pillows. Pillows smelled of smoke. Heater did not work but maintenance repaired it when notified.
Front desk clerk was helpful when checking in.

Great location on Fremont street. Easy check in and elevators are close to registration unlike strip hotels. Asked for a room away from Fremont noise so I was not kept awake. Room was older decor but clean; only issue is that bathroom was compact and only counter space for one person. Only offer valet parking but they were very prompt in retrieving vehicle and just tip is the only cost. I would stay again if with spouse but no way two females could share the tiny bathroom. You haven't seen vegas until you are downtown on Halloween!

this hotel is located in the OLD down town Vegas. So the rooms are older, but very nice! we got a great deal for one night on a Thursday. It is right off the FREMONT strip, and access to all the other casinos bars, and where the bands play. Slots at this hotel did not pay out well, but you got plenty of other hotels to play at. Check in service was great, and casino floor is also very clean. I would come here again!!
