Goodtimes is a bit of a drive from the Strip, but might be worth it if you're looking for a gay bar experience that's less packed than FreeZone and less garagey than the Garage. With a large bar, a pool table and a lounge area in the main space, Goodtimes is a classic gay bar that caters to a diverse crowd of regulars and newcomers. But with the addition of a projector screen, a nightclub room and a small stage, it becomes a nightlife spot for locals to flock to and tourists to stumble upon.
From drag shows to special dance nights, the party at Goodtimes often goes all night. Fridays and Sundays currently feature lesbian events, but guys are always welcome too. Just be aware that a cover does start later in the evening. And you may have to smile for the security camera to get buzzed in.
If you're there during the day you can get cheap drinks from friendly bartenders. And if you're snuggling up with someone special, the booths set into the back wall are romantic and sort of private -- just don't get too crazy back there, people can still see you.
