Largest Vegas Travel Site Commits Its Call Center Operations to the U.S.

Henderson, Nevada, - March 15, 2004. VEGAS.com, which operates one of the fastest-growing call centers in the travel industry, announces its intention to permanently maintain its call center operations in the United States, bucking the trend of large companies outsourcing to international destinations.

VEGAS.com President Howard Lefkowitz reiterated the company's commitment to providing specialized Vegas information for both www.Vegas.com and the company's newly launched Spanish operation through www.espanol.Vegas.com.

In the last year, the company's call center operations grew from 10 to 100 seats, and the call center now accounts for 45 percent of the company's sales. The remaining transactions are made online, and overall sales for the company have shot up 475% year over year.

VEGAS.com's travel specialists can provide detailed information to Vegas visitors unavailable through an out-of-state or internationally outsourced operation. Staff members live in Vegas, and are constantly visiting hotels, shows, restaurants and nightclubs to remain up-to-date on the city. The center consists of more than 100 staff members who reside locally and are prepared to answer questions ranging from hotel and show advice to how to avoid the massive lines at the city's nightclubs and hotspots.
