Rated 5 out of 5 by Cyndy3286 Red Rock was beautiful
Fantastic tour and our tour guide, Owen was awesome. He provided so much history of the different mountain sites. We were able to stop at several locations to take some pretty amazing pictures. Spring Mountain Ranch State park is absolutely beautiful. The tour of the Ranch House is filled with history about Howard Huges and Vera Krupp. Would take this tour again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LisaDes Gary went way beyond my expectations
Gary was our tour guide and he went above and beyond what I expected this tour to be like. He was able to answer all our questions and even went to even more detail about Vegas. Not just about Red Rock Canyon, but all things Vegas. I learned more from him than I expected to and feel like I can say I live in Vegas now cause of the history and all the "did you know?" facts he shared about the casinos and the city itself. I highly recommend this tour if you are new to Vegas and it's vicinities. The picnic location was perfect as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Harpo Good experience.
It was interesting to experience desert canyon scenery, and the peace and quiet of the desert. Our knowledgeable guide explained the red sandstone formations very well, pointed out the plant life and talked about the wildlife. I think that it would be a shame to visit this region and not experience its natural desert and canyon environments.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jam14 This tour is was really interesting and fun with Bob, the guide. Definitely worth taking!
The tour guide picked us up promptly at our hotel, and he explained the plan for the day. As we headed out to Red Rock, the tour guide, Bob, told us many interesting facts about Las Vegas and the Red Rock area. As we got into Red Rock Canyon, Bob was very thoughtful about offering bathroom stops and water, and he stopped at many photo worthy areas. He provided great information about the desert plants, as well as Red Rock, and as we headed to Spring Mountain Ranch, Bob told us about the history of the ranch. Once at the ranch, we had a picnic lunch, and we were lucky that a park ranger was willing to give us a tour of the ranch house, and the ranger had many interesting stories to tell about Vera Krupp and Howard Hughes. Tour Bob took us back to Vegas via another route, and he continued to tell us more interesting stories. We had a wonderful day!

Rated 5 out of 5 by LizJ Perfect contrast to the glitz and noise of the city.
As much as I love Vegas, it can get a bit "too much" sometimes. We decided to go out & see the countryside - the beautiful Mojave desert - if that counts as countryside.
Red Rock Canyon is a real jewel - colourful mountains & rocks, with plenty of desert plants and wildlife. Great hiking and rock climbing country. Hard to believe that it is less than 20 miles from the Las Vegas strip; a perfect way to get away from all the lights, crowds & noise, which can overwhelm at times.
Our guide, Neil, was brilliant, picked us up at the hotel right on time, and was very funny and knowledgeable. We had a great day out there.
