Rated 5 out of 5 by Ran57 The trip through the desert was fascinating. Santa Monica was beautiful. Hollywood was interesting, but I was expecting glitz and glamour.
The trip was great. Our driver, Marty, was absolutely wonderful. Very pleasant, shared his knowledge very generously and is a great animator. Kept us busy playing Name that Movie! The vehicle was extremely comfortable. Enjoyed our time on the beach at Santa Monica. Beverly Hills is beautiful. Hollywood, not so much. We were expecting glitz and glamour. The Walk of Fame is really neat. Marty gave us a map that he pulled together, giving us addresses of must see spots and key celebrity stars. Was glad to see Vegas at the end of the day - a long, but enjoyable day.

I didn't know what to expect, when I booked thins tour online. I must say it is the best tour ever. I got to see the desert, mountain and the great outdoors. The Snta Monica beach was true lay a sight ti see, not to mention the fresh caramel corn was very tasty. As for the stars and I didn't get to see anyone, but I did get to see my favorite stars star and ther imprints. I would recommend that when they call to confirm you make sure to go over your lunch to make sure they have the correct lunch for you...Other than that I had a wonderful time and the tour guide was excellent and very entertaining..

I have to say I was a bit disappointed by this tour. First off it's a long drive there and back, you spend more time in the Van then you do in Hollywood and Santa Monica. Both stops were about an hour and 15 mins to an hour and a half each. I was under the impression when traveling through Beverly Hills you would see celebrities homes but in actuality the van is prohibited in going in the residental areas. You spend a whole 10 mins driving through Beverly Hills and you are done. Our guide was very knowledgable and friendly. I probably wouldn't recommend this tour.it was very long and misleading. Only being in vegas for 4 nights and 3 days that was a day I would have rather spent in vegas.

by Girlwhonose Excellent service from our driver/tour guide
We really enjoyed the whole tour but wish we had longer times at our stops. On that note, if we did stay longer then we would get back to Vegas much later. Overall, I give this tour an 10 :)

Our Tour Guide, Dennis, was very knowledgeable and extremely passionate. He was excited to share and educate our group about the Mojave Desert, the history of the area and Joshua trees. His experiences in Southern California and Nevada were entertaining and very enjoyable.
The price was fair, the food was exactly what we expected.
We had ample personal time to explore Downtown Hollywood and Santa Monica Pier.
I would recommend this tour to any movie buffs, people interested in the history of Hollywood and Las Vegas or just for a wonderful day out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by K1234 Waste of time and money
The tour was not good at all. The description said we would see things like death valley and the Joshua tree forrest on the way. If we saw them, the tour guide/driver never stopped and never told us. Redeo Drive was closed for a car show so we didn't even get to go there. You would think that a tour company would keep track of what is going on with the exact place they are advertising they are taking you. The microphone in the van was not working, so he couldn't use it and we couldn't hear very well during the very few times he spoke. We expected to see the homes of some of the stars, but as close as we got was our guide pointing to Hollywood Hills from a distance and saying that many stars live there. At the start of the trip, when my family of four got into the van and sat two and two together, one of us was asked to move up front alone so that the next couple could sit together. So, for four hours each way, my husband had to sit alone so that someone else wouldn't have to. That made no sense to us. The van was very uncomfortable, had improperly working seat belts, and cup holders that wouldn't hold a drink. If you put a drink in it, it would just fly out because the holders were worn out and would no longer grasp anything. This tour was very poorly executed and was a waste of time and money.
