The tour of the dam itself was not overwhelming, but certainly covered the basics. Our driver was very personable and provided good conversation while in transit.

I was lucky enough to have been the sole client for my tour. My guide was great - courteous, knowledgeble and fun! T

We realise it was a busy time of year with more traffic than usual but we were taken a 40 mile round trip past our destination to pick another traveller. This combined with the amount of traffic, and the large amount of tourists that we were only at the Dam an hour, 30 minutes of that was spent in queues. The company know that this is a busy period and should have reconfigured the whole tour. Had they informed us they would not have had three very disappointed and annoyed customers and we would have taken this trip on another day. The guide did nothing except drive us there, 20 miles out of the way and back, this could not be considered a VIP tour.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Tommys Tour was not as advertised our tour guy was just a driver " Marty was great" but guided your this is not. They drop you at dam for normal tour.
Tour was not as advertised our tour guide was just a driver " Marty was great" but guided tour this is not. They drop you at dam for normal tour. Which includes look a generator , wow lots of concret, thanks for coming. Load back on bus, which I might add was just like spirt air lines . VIP seat was just wide enough for 12 year old kid not a normal adult. So sitting shoulder to shoulder for 2 hours. Just be aware people this tour is not for the people interested in " how it's made, or how it works " type. For a VIP tour I would expect a little more I guess.
Just my thoughts

Rated 5 out of 5 by Weston If you like to sleep in, this is YOUR TOUR!!
Overall: Tour guide was very knowledgeable of just about everything we past. I learned a lot about Vegas, surrounding cities, and the Hoover Dam. He was extremely polite, and even took us for a side trip to see the Colorado River. I liked this tour because I did not have to wake up at the crack of dawn to catch the shuttle. We were picked up around 11:45 AM and got back around 5:30 (the time flew by!!!). We were newlyweds, so we figured that we would do this instead of renting a car, and having to deal with the crazy traffic and getting lost (that in itself can be fun, but we decided to be catered- and it was a WIN!!).

Rated 2 out of 5 by Tprdarling High price for mid-level tour tickets
We liked the guide, but the two $15 dam tickets cost us $180. So much for the VIP treatment. The passes were not even the best passes the Hoover Dam offers. My advice is look elsewhere or drive yourself.

A very nice half day tour with a knowledgeable and fun guide. Very punctual and willing to answer questions and offer suggestions on what we should look for. We would recommend this tour
