Glow - A Mandara Spa Review

Located inside Tropicana Las Vegas, Glow - A Mandara Spa makes guests radiant with tropical-inspired treatments.

Before your services, relax on one of the sleek spa lounge beds and enjoy complimentary citrus-infused water with refreshments. The soothing waterfall adds to the ambience. The intimate spa setting keeps you at ease -- there are only nine treatment rooms in the 10,000-square-foot facility.

The spa divides treatments in categories to make your stay as personalized and enjoyable as possible. Capture your perfect "glow" with the spa's customized experiences. Your therapist can adjust the room temperature, lighting, sounds and aroma therapy for you.

"Glow 101" includes treatments like simple, no-fuss Swedish, deep tissue and couple's massages, basic facials and scrubs. Designed to revive the mind, body and soul "Peace of Glow" includes services like a wrinkle-reducing facial, a coconut rub and milk ritual wrap, or a lime and ginger salt glow. For those who love long massages, add 30 minutes to any massage service for $30.

If the Vegas sun is too hot for you (or if you're here during the colder months), Glow features its Fake-the-Glow Ritual. Your therapist applies a sunless tan creme to bring out your golden goddess.

Have a "Peace of Glow" treatment and opt for the bamboo massage. Your therapist rolls, slides and massages your muscles with warm bamboo shoots soaked in essential oils. Who is queen (or king) of the jungle now?

Those with serious skin issues may opt for "Focus on the Glow's" Acne Attacker facial. This includes the spa's own "No Zit Sherlock" formula to battle those annoying blemishes. Or, choose Slow Glow, a deep cleansing facial that leaves your skin smooth as a baby.

"Grow the Glow" add-ons include bathing or scalp rituals and paraffin treatments. If you decide to top your spa day off with a trip to the salon, try the 45-minute Mojito Manicure. In addition to a tasty Mojito for you to sip on, enjoy a milk bath and lime-infused scrub. Finish with a citrus oil blend massage. Take your feet to the tropics and treat the toes to a Pedi-Colada. This service includes a coconut milk foot soak, sugar scrub and a relaxing massage. The service isn't complete without a virgin Piña Colada. Nothing says paradise more than this!

If you're planning a night out in town, the spa's "After Glow" services include lash extensions, make-up services, haircuts and coloring.

Overlooking the pool and Las Vegas Strip, the spa's gym includes elliptical trainers, free weights, treadmills and bikes. Cardio equipment comes with personal television screens and iPod docking stations.
