The Spa at Green Valley Ranch could possibly be the city's best kept secret.
Located just 15 minutes away from the Las Vegas Strip, a day at the Spa at Green Valley Ranch truly feels like a traditional, country resort. With its wide-open space, wood flooring and natural lighting throughout, the $22 million spa is reminiscent of a mountain lodge miles away from the city.
"It's very appealing to everybody," said Keri Printy, spa director. "People want to feel cozy. They want to feel at home."
In addition, the spa also incorporates a peaceful water theme throughout the facility. From its mosaic waterfall fixture in the lobby to the sound of an overhead trickling waterfall in the facial rooms, these soothing elements immediately make spa patrons at ease.
The spa's co-ed waiting lounges offer the perfect place to unwind with that special someone. One of the waiting rooms even has a view of the outdoor courtyard. The courtyard provides intimate seating by a fireplace, which is perfect on a brisk, chilly day. For those who desire a more private setting, separate men's and women's waiting areas are also available.
Guests can even book a luncheon in a private party room adjacent to the courtyard and the co-ed waiting room. Ideal for small gatherings, the green and brown tones in this room deliver a cottage appeal. The spa also offers catering service and the perfect menu for that special occasion.
The 40,000-square-foot spa has a total of 22 treatment rooms, with 18 massage rooms as well as four facial rooms. Lovebirds are in luck: the couple's rooms offer the ultimate romantic and pampering experience. Both of the couple's rooms offer a hydrotherapy tub and a private outdoor cabana area.
Traditional spa services include Swedish, aromatherapy and hot stone massages, along with facials suited for every skin type. Body scrubs and wraps are also available.
For those who want to indulge in something sweet and fruity, the Paradise Papaya treatment is a real treat. After a papaya and pineapple exfoliation and refreshing shower, guests are treated with a peppermint application to stimulate the senses. The service ends with with a pineapple papaya therapeutic aromatherapy massage. Delicious!
Since the city's dry climate can take a toll on the skin, guests can experience the soothing Orange Oasis body treatment. After the orange herbal scrub, shower and pure orange blossom mist, guests finish with a moisturizing orange blossom therapeutic aromatherapy massage.
One of the spa's unique services is the Green Valley Green Tea Wrap. The service begins with a body scrub infusing grape seeds from California's Napa Valley wine region. This is followed by a wrap containing green tea, seaweed and ginger root to help the body's metabolism. The treatment ends with a massage, which includes a special blend of exotic essential oils and protein cream.
Guests are encouraged to come early before their treatment and enjoy all of the spa's amenities, including the state-of-the-art workout facility with a fabulous outdoor view. The facility even offers doors that open so gym goers can have fresh air during a workout. The gym provides headphones, water and juice. Yoga and pilates classes are also available.
A a 25-meter lap pool is the perfect way to cool off after a good workout. Couples have the luxury of enjoying a co-ed Jacuzzi and steam room.
Just next door, guests can get their hair, make-up and nails done at the spa's full-service salon. With its high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, guests can experience a view of the hotel's swimming pool while treating themselves to a service. Fans of the popular Bumble and Bumble hair products can purchase these in the salon's lobby.
Guests can either park adjacent to the spa or take a peaceful stroll through the lush vineyard from the main casino.
