Aquae Sulis at JW Marriott Las Vegas Review
Water is the theme of the Aquae Sulis spa inside the JW Marriott and its healing and relaxing properties can be found throughout the facility.
The men's and women's spas feature rainfall showers with mango-scented products in the women's area and eucalyptus-scented
products in the men's.
The focal point of both spas is the ritual room, which guests are encouraged to use for an hour prior to their treatments.
The ritual room features deluge showers with pulsating hot and cold water designed to massage the back and neck. There are also several pools including a warm float pool, hot tub and cold plunge, along with a steam room and dry sauna.
Outside, located between the men's and women's areas, is the hydrocircuit pool as well as co-ed steam, sauna and hot tub. The hydrocircuit pool features six chambers, each with a different current designed to stimulate the body's circulation.
After indulging in the spa ritual, it's time for a treatment and Aquae Sulis offers a large menu of massages, facials and body treatments. There are 36 treatment rooms, including a room for couples.
About 10 minutes before a treatment, guests are led to the dimly-lit relaxation room, which features comfortable lounges, soft music and the soothing sounds of water.
One of the spa's most popular treatments is the Lost in Paradise, which begins with a papaya-pineapple body scrub to exfoliate the skin. Next, warm coconut milk is poured over the body, followed by a tropical warm kukui and coconut massage. You truly will feel like you've escaped to paradise.
Besides spa treatments, Aquae Sulis also offers a large fitness area which is open, airy and naturally lit. Cardio equipment features TVs and built-in CD players.
The adjacent salon offers waxing, hair services, manicures, pedicures and make-up application.
Don't miss the Caviar manicure or pedicure, which includes complete nail service as well as a Turkish salt soak, a chamomile scrub and a mask treatment designed to eliminate fine lines. The treatment is followed by a therapeutic massage with Caviar Firming Complex.
After a wonderful day at the spa, you might be tempted to bring a piece of the experience home with you. Stop in the large boutique on your way out, which is filled with lotions, potions, candles, clothing, oils and more.
