Spa at the Palms Review

The three-story Spa at the Palms provides 20,000 square feet full of stress-reducing amenities.

After entering the spa, you'll immediately feel the calm, quiet atmosphere as you check in at the reception desk.

Once you are signed in, you can take an elevator or stairs to the other floors. The second level is where the men's spa and the co-ed fitness area are located. The fitness area features weights and cardio equipment, customized with individual TV screens. The cardio area overlooks the Palms' pool area, which is a great distraction during the warmer months. The third floor of the Spa at the Palms is where the women's spa is located.

The spa areas feature saunas, steam rooms, cold plunge pools, Swiss showers and whirlpools. The women's spa has an indoor and an outdoor whirlpool, which is private and overlooks the Palms' pool area. The spa areas also offer relaxation lounges, locker rooms, vanity areas and showers.

Spa guests can choose from a variety of treatments including massages, facials, body scrubs, wraps and more.

One of the most popular treatments is the Shea Butter Body Buff. After an exfoliation, pure shea butter is melted and applied all over the body. The treatment is followed by a warm rinse and a moisturizer. Guests may also try the Orange Blossom Body Facial, which is another popular service offered at the spa.

If massage is your thing, don't miss the Southwest Stone Therapy, which is an incredibly relaxing treatment that will leave you warm and comfortable for hours afterward.

Smooth stones are heated with water and placed on various points on the body. After massage oil is applied, the stones are used to massage the body. The penetrating heat of the stones adds a whole new element of pampering and stress relief to the treatment.

Other amenities available to spa guests include complimentary water, fruit, juice and teas. Guests also can order complimentary elixir tonic shots, including energy, calming and relaxation shots.

The adjacent Amp salon offers hair treatments, makeup, manicures and pedicures.

If you decide to indulge in the Spa at the Palms, be sure to park in the east garage -- the spa is located just inside the doors from the garage on your right. You don't have to walk through the hectic casino and can keep that calm, quiet feeling alive after your treatment.
