The Grand Spa at The MGM Review

SKYSPA
Available exclusively for guests of the SKYLOFTS at MGM Grand, SKYSPA is open 24 hours a day and features separate spa treatment and fitness suites. The facility is complete with a state-of-the-art sound system, exercise equipment and custom-designed spa tubs. A special menu of spa treatments has been designed especially for SKYSPA guests.
The Zen-inspired Grand Spa at the MGM Grand is tucked away at the back of the property, far away from the chaos of the casino and the bustling restaurant areas.

As you walk down a quiet, skylit pathway to the spa, you'll feel as though you're entering another world far away from the rest of the resort.

The 29,000-square-foot spa is decorated in warm, neutral colors with rock walls, wood accents and Asian-inspired themes.

For guests who want to exercise before their treatment, the spa offers a fitness center overlooking the pool. The fitness center has weight equipment and a complete line of cardio equipment including state-of-the-art treadmills with flat-screen panel TVs built into the consoles.

There are separate men's and women's spa areas, which both include saunas, steam rooms and whirlpools. The spa sells fitness clothing and skin-care products.

After a workout, a large relaxation lounge gives guests a quiet place to unwind before their treatment. Fresh fruit, snack bars, tea, juice and water are available.

The Grand Spa has more than 20 treatment rooms, including private suites and couples treatment areas. Treatments include airbrush body bronzing, body scrubs, waxing, massages, manicures, pedicures, wraps and facials.

One of the Grand Spa's specialties is the two-hour Dreaming Ritual, which begins with a foot soak, followed by exfoliation, body mask and scalp treatment with healing elements from Australia. The treatment is followed by an Australian Aboriginal massage and is available for couples.

For a unique massage, try the Nirvana, a 75-minute signature treatment. The Nirvana includes Ayurvedic oils with Abhyanga massage, a Shirodara scalp treatment, hot stone placement, a cool eye mask, a copper bowl foot balancing treatment, a warm foot wrap and customized music designed to give you the ultimate relaxation experience.

The Elemental Massage whisks guests to paradise with the ultimate tranquil experience. The calming sounds of the Ohm Tuning Fork (a device that gives off sound waves designed to achieve harmony) help ease muscles and promote overall wellness. This experience also includes the use of hot stones, mud, steam and incense designed to release tension. For exotic pampering, the MGM Grand Spa offers treatments inspired by ancient rituals from South America, Australia’s Aboriginal Tribe, Japan, Turkey and Iceland.

The spa also offers “SpaGen,” a revolutionary DNA process that tests an individual’s overall well-being. Once guests complete an in-depth health, diet and lifestyle questionnaire, spa technicians take a DNA cotton swab sample from inside the person’s cheek. After a careful two-week lab examination, participants are sent an extensive summary describing their nutritional deficiencies, as well as information on how to achieve beauty and overall wellness. A once-a-month personalized package of nutritional supplements can be arranged for an additional fee.

If you want to continue your day of pampering after a treatment, the Cristophe Salon is located adjacent to the Grand Spa. The salon also has a pool view and pampers its guests with unique touches such as a champagne bar and flat-screen TVs on the ceilings above the shampoo bowls.

Manicures, pedicures and makeup applications are available in addition to complete hair services.
