Spa Mandalay Review
The 30,000-square-foot Spa Mandalay is located on the lower level of the hotel, near the massive pool area. The tropical, beachy setting has inspired the look of the spa, as well as many of the treatments.
Spa Mandalay is decorated in light, neutral colors and is very open and airy. There are 21 treatment rooms available for indulging
in any of the numerous offerings on the spa's extensive menu.
The women's spa features a beautiful water area with four hot tubs of varying temperatures. There are also saunas, steam rooms, showers, relaxation areas and vanity amenities for men and women. Fresh fruits, nuts, coffee, tea and fruit juices are available to guests.
For the ultimate indulgence, Spa Mandalay has a private treatment suite with its own tub, shower and restroom.
Treatments available include massages, facials, manicures, pedicures, mist-on tanning, body wraps and scrubs.
Island-inspired treatments include the volcanic dust mask. The body is coated with mineral-rich mud and then wrapped to allow the mud to soak in. A soothing lotion application follows.
Try the Surf and Sand, where a combination of salts and bath gels are massaged over the body to exfoliate dry skin.
If you're out at the Moorea Beach area at Mandalay Bay, you can indulge in 10-minute body shots. A moisturizer with a cooling effect is applied to the body. The moisturizer comes in scents like Mai Tai, Pina Colada and Margarita that smell as good as they sound. Body shots with tan accelerator are also available.
Many Vegas visitors overdo the sun worshipping, so Spa Mandalay offers an aloe wrap -- a must for those who have indulged too much. The wrap helps cool, soothe and moisturize the skin.
For the fitness-minded guest, a gym overlooks part of the pool area and features natural lighting and an open, airy feel.
