The Spa at Green Valley Ranch Resort & Spa Review
The spa at Green Valley Ranch is a hidden treasure located in Henderson, Nev., about 15 minutes from the Strip.
The spa's elegant decor and plush setting will make you feel as though you're a million miles away from Vegas even though you'll have a spectacular view of the city.
Boasting 60,000 square feet of pure luxury, guests walk into a lobby decorated with dark wood floors and a calming water wall feature. The delicious-smelling spa products are available for sale in this area.
A portion of the spa is situated below ground. A reflecting pool in front of the spa is the ceiling for many of the treatment rooms located below.
The upper floor of the spa features a bright, spacious gym with cardio and weight equipment. The gym has sliding glass doors that open to allow the fresh air inside. Not only does the gym have a view of the city, it also overlooks the spa's private pool area.
The pool area, for spa guests only, has an outdoor steam room, comfortable lounges and cabanas.
A movement studio, also with a great city view, offers yoga and spinning classes.
Also on the upper level are the spa's VIP suites, which feature private patios, showers, steam rooms and plasma TVs. Couples can rent these rooms for a day of pampering. A spa manager can assist in coordinating this special event for the guests.
Downstairs is the check-in for spa treatments. There are separate men's and women's areas with saunas, steam rooms and hot tubs. The men's area is slightly larger and features several plasma TVs.
Marble floors, dark woods, flowers and candles create an inviting environment in which to indulge in one of the spa's many therapies.
Massages include hot stone, aromatherapy, reflexology, shiatsu, deep tissue and traditional Swedish.
There are a variety of signature body treatments to choose from, including the Exfoliating Massage which combines the benefits of both a massage and body scrub in one luxurious treatment.
If you're in need of a facial, try the Back to Nature facial. The products are so natural you can see the fresh fruit pulp and smell fresh herbs.
To find the spa, head out to the resort's lavish pool area and follow the signs. The spa is located just past the salon.
