The Spa at The Four Seasons Review
The elegance and tranquility of the Spa at the Four Seasons matches that of the hotel itself.
Tucked away down a hall located just off the hotel lobby, the spa is decorated in light cream and beige colors with marble flooring.
The check-in area features a retail shop where spa products are sold.
There are separate men's and women's facilities, which offer eucalyptus steam rooms, showers and lockers. Vanity areas provide guests with everything they need after their day of relaxation, including hair dryers, curling irons and Paul Mitchell hair products.
Each spa area has a relaxation lounge where guests are offered fruit and water. There is also a co-ed relaxation area for couples who are indulging together.
The spa offers 16 treatment rooms, including a couples massage room. Treatments include facials, body wraps, scrubs and more.
Massage is the most popular treatment at the Four Seasons spa and the specialty is JAMU massage. JAMU is a meditative massage combining Hindu, Chinese and European techniques. Unique massage strokes are used, including skin rolling, wringing and percussion.
Another unique treatment at the spa is the Thai herbal poultice massage. A heated poultice with herbs and plant extracts is used to knead and compress muscles along the body's meridian pathways. An invigorating massage follows using an array of traditional aromatherapy and Thai massage techniques.
Don't miss the Four Seasons signature Desert Oasis body treatments, which include salt exfoliation, a body wrap and an application of scented body butter. There is a different signature scent for each season, including a sweet sagebrush for winter, a desert rose for spring, summer is prickly pear, and pumpkin and squash blossom for fall.
The Spa at the Four Seasons also offers a fitness center with weight machines, free weights and cardio equipment with individual TVs attached to each machine.
The fitness center overlooks the Four Seasons pool and hot tubs, which are available for spa guests. The pool has a bar and serves breakfast and lunch.
You'll still feel like you're being pampered at the spa when you're out at the pool. Every 30 minutes, an amenity service is provided to pool-goers such as Evian spritzers or a serving of fresh fruit.
