Drift Spa Review
Offering some of the most unique spa amenities in the city, the Drift Spa at Palms Place maintains an intimate atmosphere that feels like home.
The rich browns, deep purples, hints of blue and metallic colors deliver a modern feel all while emulating a calm, relaxing mood. The two-story spa features a total of 20 treatment rooms, including rooms for couples having a service together. For easy access between both floors, guests can take the elevator located in the far corner of the lobby.
The spa features separate quiet lounges for men and women. For the ultimate privacy, guests may draw the curtain by their chaises. The lounge comes with healthy refreshments like water, juice and fruit. And unlike most spas, Drift Spa has windows throughout its facility. Guests can enjoy looking outside while relaxing in the quiet lounge or taking a dip in the cold plunge and Jacuzzi in the wet spa.
For a change of atmosphere, spa guests may enjoy the luxurious seclusion of the outdoor garden lounges. There are plenty of trees to keep guests cool in the summer along with a fire pit for chilly winter days.
Guests are encouraged to come early to enjoy Vegas' first hammam. The Turkish co-ed hammam has the similar benefits of a steam room, but with a lot of space and secluded seating along the walls. The hammam also features a high ceiling whose pinpoint lights create the image of a starscape overhead. In addition, the temperature stays between 86 and 92 degrees, so it's not as hot or stuffy as a steam room. Guests can get really comfortable by sprawling out on an oversized bench in the middle of the room.
The spa services are equally as as heavenly. In addition to the popular Swedish, deep and hot stone massages, Drift Spa offers We've Got Your Back. This treatment focuses on the back by removing toxins that are associated with clogged pores and troubled skin. Guests can enjoy a soothing mask after a purifying back cleansing.
Drift Spa has its share of exotic facials as well. For smooth, touchable skin, the Renew facial combines enzymes of pumpkin and mushroom to exfoliate the skin. The exfoliation is followed with carrot oil, green tea and evening primrose. The creative aroma combinations do not stop here -- this service ends with serums of neroli, golden jojoba and sunflower. For something simpler to the senses, the Breathe Easy facial features essential oils like geranium, lemon and pink grapefruit. These all work together to unclog pores and reduce puffiness.
If facials just aren't enough, Drift Spa offers a bevy of body rituals to tempt even the most reluctant spa visitor. For the ultimate floral experience, the Cherry Blossom exfoliation treatment includes a liquid silk massage with rice bran, a moisturizing cherry blossom wrap finished off with a sprinkling of silk dust. For those who want to experience the desert without all the cacti, dryness and dust, the Rockin' Desert Quench hits the spot. This 80-minute service infuses crushed desert plants and flowers for a gentle exfoliation. It also comes complete with a hot stone massage, organic desert aloe wrap topped with a creamy desert flower body butter. Couples treatments along with a bevy of men's services are also available.
The vanity stations in the women's spa area comes complete with curling and straightening irons, contact solution and other essentials. For those who don't want the pampering experience to end, Michael Boychuck's Primp salon is located on the spa's second floor. Primp Salon offers everything from eyelash and hair extensions to make-up applications, manicures and pedicures.
The second floor features Las Vegas' first Sunset Tan location, which provides the latest in tanning technology. Bronze wanna-bes also have the luxury of using the popular spray-on Mystic tan at Drift Spa.
And of course, a toned body complements that golden tan perfectly. The fitness facility comes with state-of-the-art cardio equipment (many with personal plasma TVs), weight training machines and much more. Right next door, gym users can also take Pilates or yoga classes in the spa's Movement Studio.
With all of the many amenities, guests staying here find it quite easy to "drift" away to spa paradise.
