Djanel Spa Review

A day at Djanel Spa will be one that you'll never forget.

Spa owner and therapist Djanel and his staff offer some of the most friendly and personal service around. After your experience, you'll leave feeling like a princess (or prince).

The spa menu is simple and doesn't overwhelm guests with too many choices. However, Djanel Spa features treatments that are unique. One in particular is the aqua massage, a peaceful ritual that takes place in the resort's indoor swimming pool. You'll wear floaties as your therapist carries and moves your body along the water.

"You're floating in the water like a dolphin," Djanel explained. "It's an amazing treatment."

Since the service takes place in the resort's swimming pool, the aqua massage is best during the early mornings or late evenings when it's not so crowded. This way, you'll enjoy more space in the water.

If you're a huge fan of orange creamsicle, Djanel's signature orange vanilla body scrub will leave you smelling delicious. The body scrub also leaves the skin noticeably soft and polished. Created and designed by Djanel  himself, the scrub (and matching lotion) is available for sale so you can enjoy it long after your treatment.

The Moroccan-inspired treatment area (or "temple" as Djanel calls it) includes four massage tables, each separated by elaborate drapes. The dim lighting and soft music creates an intimate, tranquil atmosphere. While many spas on the Strip have multiple treatment rooms, Djanel mentioned guests actually request to relax here after their service is done.

"All you need is intimacy," he said.

Give yourself time before your treatment to experience the spacious indoor pool area. There are plenty of lounge chairs to choose from, as well as a bar to get your favorite drink. The oversized windows offer plenty of lighting, so you'll get to enjoy the feeling of the outside without the extreme temperatures. If you're daring enough to take the heat, an outdoor sun deck is available. Spa guests receive complimentary juice and fresh fruit.

If you'd like to break a sweat before taking a dip in the pool, the resort offers a fitness facility, complete with weights, cardio equipment and flat screen TVs.

The spa is located on the fourth floor of Bluegreen 36 Club's timeshare resort. Though small in size, Djanel Spa is big on personalized service and original treatments.
