Qua Baths & Spa at Caesars Palace Review

Escape to Lomi Lomi land

Get ready to experience paradise in Vegas with Lomi Lomi, a Hawaiian-inspired massage.

Based on Hawaiian concepts of healing, your spa therapist incorporates long, soothing strokes to help relax your sore, tired muscles. If you've ever seen how a cat kneads a blanket, the massage techniques are very similar (sans the sharp claws, of course!).

And unlike typical massages where it works the same limbs right after the other, the Lomi Lomi treatment works one half of your body (length-wise), then the other. Your therapist will apply deep pressure, but slow and gentle enough for you to fully relax and fall asleep during your treatment. The service also includes some easy stretches to release any extra tension.

To give this massage the tropical kick, you can choose from mango, pineapple or coconut massage oil. The fruity scent entices the senses and lingers long after your treatment.

Located in the Augustus Tower, the 55,000-square-foot Qua Baths & Spa captures the true spirit of nature by bringing it indoors.

From its stone flooring and neutral-colored brick fixtures to the soothing sights and sounds of the water, you'll forget you're in the desert. The welcome hallway puts you at ease with its high ceilings, towering waterfalls and greenery. The feeling through this hallway is so serene, one might compare this atmosphere to the Garden of Eden.

Qua rejuvenates the mind, body and spirit with its emphasis on "aqua" and ancient spa rituals. Qua (which is Italian for "here") evokes a lavish Romanesque ambiance while offering several luxurious aromatherapy treatments.

The facility features 51 treatment rooms, which include 35 massage studios, three deluxe couple's suites and seven facial rooms. Qua also offers three Vichy showers and even a Swarovski crystal body art room.

Qua offers numerous relaxation treatments sure to invigorate the senses with services like Roman bathing rituals, massages, body scrubs and facials accustomed to suit your skin's needs.

There are separate men and women's tea lounges as well as menus accustomed to suit each gender. Before or after your spa service, relax as a tea sommelier creates and pairs beverages specifically designed to complement your treatment.

After a heated treatment, cool down in the city's only Arctic Ice room, which features snow descending from a domed ceiling. Ice chips are available to refresh the senses, as well as exfoliate the skin. Other spa facilities include heated tubs, a cool plunge, an herbal steam room, a sauna and a co-ed laconium room.

If the man in your life needs a trim, treat him to a haircut where he'll feel like a king. Adding to the royal experience, the master barber in this spa always wears a tuxedo. Men can also watch TV while enjoying a drink.

The retail area outside of the spa features products used during your treatments. Since some of the proceeds go to charity, you'll be helping a cause and taking special care of your body.

Just a few steps from the retail shop, the 5,500-square-foot fitness center includes state-of-the-art cardio and strength machines. If you're coming with friends and want to socialize during your workout, you can each jump on a stationary bike. The bikes are set up in a circle, which makes it easy for you to talk to each other while burning calories.

If you're driving from another location, the best way to get to the spa is by taking your car to the hotel's front valet. This way, you won't have to worry about walking through the casino after your relaxing treatment.
