Vegas.com describes Gerry McCambridge, "The Mentalist", as one who "reads the minds of audience members" and "predicts the outcome of situations during the performance." Not at the show I attended.
VIP tickets got us seats in the "audience participation" area. That's the only way to go if you want a chance to participate. Having said that, the VIP folks were handed a slip of paper and a pencil and Gerry told us to write our full names, three questions to which we would like an answer, and one interesting fact about ourselves. Our papers were deposited in an acrylic box on the stage. Let's leave it at that.
I prepared a detailed review of the show, outlining the events that made me suspicious of Gerry’s “mind reading” powers. However, after reading and re-reading my prepared review I decided it wasn’t necessary to provide details. All I need to say for this review is pay close attention. During a show, if you listen and watch closely you may find Gerry doesn’t “read minds” or “predict outcomes.” Instead, the real show is the theatrics and the audience. At the performance I attended Gerry turned the questions back to the participant and his/her friends/family to answer. The audience is so engrossed in the show we don't realize Gerry isn't answering the questions.
I was a participant so I personally experienced the realization Gerry did not answer my questions nor did he predict outcomes of the situations I presented. And that "fascinating fact about oneself" we were all asked to reveal; well, that was never addressed.
I don't fault Vegas.com for the review. That's show business!! If there is one positive thing I can say, Gerry is a good showman and pulls it off to the delight of the audience.

The show was Mind blowing, and truly amazing show. Highly recommended !!!!!
I Would NOT upgrade with a meal. We upgraded or show ticket to Pampas Brazilian steak house, were you usually get to try several types of meat. To my surprise our choice was beef, chicken, or salmon. Small portions at that, its good they had a salad bar. After paying the 30.00 per person meal upgrade with the show the steak house then offers you to upgrade for an additional 20 bucks per person for the different meats. But its Vegas, take lots of cash even if you don't gamble, everything is high priced on the strip. Beer 8 bucks, mixed drinks 12 to 16 bucks. Go to Freemont street for about 1/2 the price.

Was a very predictable show with nothing fascinating. I was looking forward to something genuinely interesting and it simply wasn't.

Went with my wife and kids. The mentalist selected me and he knew amazing things about me. Made it even more special for my kids. Small theater was great, because there are only good seats.
