Country music sweethearts Faith Hill and Tim McGraw bring their Soul2Soul concert to an intimate (by rock concert standards) theater at The Venetian for 10 weekends through April 2013.
Hill and McGraw are teaming up to present a night of their hit songs and covers of other popular songs. Soul2Soul is the first time in six years that Hill and McGraw have performed together on stage in the United States.
As two of country music's top-selling artists, McGraw and Hill typically perform in huge arenas to audiences of more than 50,000 people. On the Las Vegas Strip, fans get a chance to see the Grammy Award-winning entertainers in an intimate concert format in the 1,815-seat theater, formerly the home of "Phantom - The Las Vegas Spectacular."
The set list includes many of Hill's and McGraw's No. 1 hit songs including "Piece of My Heart," "Like We Never Loved At All," "The Cowboy in Me," "One of Those Nights," "Cry," "It's Your Love," and "I Need You," presented with innovative lighting and set design reminiscent of their Soul2Soul concerts. The duo is also performing covers of other artists' notable songs.
Both McGraw and Hill have impressive musical accolades. McGraw has sold more than 40 million records worldwide. With hit songs, including "Live Like You Were Dying," "Everywhere" and "Real Good Man," he dominates the charts with 32 No. 1 singles. The country music star has won three Grammy Awards, 14 Academy of Country Music Awards, 11 Country Music Association Awards, 10 American Music Awards, three People's Choice Awards and numerous other honors. Nielsen Broadcast Data Systems has designated him Artist of the Decade from 2000-2010. Along with his music, McGraw is an accomplished actor. Some of his film credits include "Country Strong," the Academy Award nominated "The Blind Side," "Four Christmases," "The Kingdom," "Flicka" and "Friday Night Lights."
Hill's musical resume is no less impressive. She has sold more than 30 million records worldwide, and has achieved 13 No. 1 singles and 20 No. 1 videos. She was the first female artist to have three studio albums – 1999's "Breathe," 2002's "Cry" and 2005's "Fireflies" – all debut consecutively at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Pop Album Chart and Country Chart. Hill is a five-time Grammy Award winner, who has also won three Country Music Association Awards, 12 Academy of Country Music Awards, four American Music Awards and four People's Choice Awards.
The couple met in 1996 on the Spontaneous Combustion Tour and were married later that year. In the mid 1990s, Hill took a break from touring and recording to start a family. The couple has three children together. But she returned in 1998 with a crossover album "Faith" that sparked a 5-year period where she charted on both the pop and country charts.
McGraw and Hill began performing together in 2000 in their record-breaking "Soul2Soul" tour, becoming that year's top-grossing and most successful U.S. tour. After a six-year break following the birth of her third daughter, Hill rejoined McGraw on tour with "Soul2Soul II." It became the highest-grossing country music tour of all time, the most attended of the year in any musical genre and remains the highest-grossing multiyear North American tour in country music history.
With Soul2Soul Tim & Faith at the Venetian, the duo works to capture the energy of their touring show in a smaller venue and to allow audience members a personal interaction with the first couple of country music.
