France may not be known for comedy, but a lounge at the Paris Las Vegas seems to be the perfect venue for a club devoted to making people laugh. Located inside Napoleon's Lounge, the Empire Comedy Club offers guests a rotating lineup of comic headliners and an intimate atmosphere to laugh the night away.
Empire Comedy Club is produced by Court McCown, who hosted and produced Playboy Comedy Club at the Palms for more than eight years. He performs as one of the headlining comedians. In addition to McCown, the comedy club features two headlining acts consisting mainly of comics who have appeared on television and/or in movies. McCown also fits in this category.
An actor and comedian, McCown appeared in several films and TV shows during the ’80s. Some of his notable film appearances include "Can't Buy Me Love" and "Teen Wolf." His TV credits include "Lucky," "Hunter," "JAG" and "Beverly Hills 90210."
Watching McCown and the other headliners perform is sort of like seeing a band before they get famous, except these comedians already are. You get to see people you recognize from television perform in a venue where even the farthest seat from the stage is a close view. With its Parisian-influenced decor, Napoleon's Lounge looks more elegant than your average comedy club, but the vibe is laid back. It has a small stage with cocktail table and chair seating for guests. The comics perform in front of two black baby grand pianos on the stage. After the comics perform and on nights when the comedy club is dark, Napoleon's Lounge is home to a dueling piano show. Cocktail service is available during the comedy show or you can walk to the bar located inside the lounge and opposite the stage. Guests who want to stay for the dueling pianos can hold on to their seats once the comics are done performing.
For comedy fans who want to see hilarious comics that are recognizable from popular TV shows, movies or comedy specials that are out today, Empire Comedy Club is the show for you.
