The Shoppes at The Palazzo Review
Boasting 450,000 square feet of luxury retail, the Shoppes at the Palazzo offer extravagant boutiques from the world's top designers. Shoppers can browse through fine stores like Manolo Blahnik, Jimmy Choo, COACH, Marc Jacobs, Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, Chloé and Prada, to name a few. Visitors can also enjoy more than 60 international shops, many of which are brand new to Las Vegas.
One of the major highlights at The Shoppes at the Palazzo is the 85,000-square-foot Barneys New York. Considered one of the most elite shops on the East Coast, Barneys is a favorite shopping destination for many celebrities. Its bright lighting, upbeat music and lavish surroundings immediately send a glamorous vibe. The main floor features a variety of purses, shoes and accessories by today's top designers. In addition to fancy evening wear and work attire, Barneys offers designer denim from such brands as 7 For All Mankind, Citizens of Humanity, Stella McCartney and True Religion.
Many of the women's boutiques at the Palazzo showcase sophisticated concepts that shoppers don't quite see every day. For instance, the Michael Kors and Diane Von Furstenberg stores both feature TVs built into one of the wall mirrors. Here, shoppers can see models strutting the latest trends at runway shows. At Jimmy Choo, the crystal chandeliers along with the lavender and white décor deliver an ultra-girly feel.
If you're really into high-end jewelry with a unique and funky twist, Ice Jewelry offers a colorful selection, including Kimora Lee Simmons' Hello Kitty exquisite pendants and watches.
For those who love to read and are into collecting, Brauman's Books offers a diverse selection of fine books ranging from the 15th through 20th centuries. You'll find everything from children's classics like E.B. White's "Charlotte's Web" and Dr. Seuss' "The Cat in the Hat" to William Faulker's "The Sound and The Fury" and J.D. Salinger's "The Catcher in the Rye." These books definitely come with a price, so make sure to bring a full pocketbook!
All this shopping calls for roomier luggage, so make sure to stop by Niccolo & Maffeo. Inspired by legendary travelers Niccolo and Maffeo Polo (father and uncle of famed explorer Marco Polo), this high-end boutique features the best designer luggage brands and small leather goods. Niccolo & Maffeo also carries unique and rare collections not found elsewhere. Specialists are available to help shoppers with their specific travel needs while selecting items to fit their personal style.
The Shoppes at the Palazzo also feature fine dining restaurants including CUT by Wolfgang Puck and Table 10 by Emeril Lagasse. Foodies can also experience the eclectic tastes of SUSHISAMBA, which offers Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian-influenced fare. SUSHISAMBA opens later this summer.
A beautiful two-story waterfall, along with a finely decorated skylight makes an elegant center display at The Shoppes at Palazzo. As you're strolling through the second floor of the Shoppes, take a break and listen to the live piano and guitar music. If you want to extend your shopping excursion, the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian is just a few steps away from Barney's.
