The Shoppes at The Palazzo Review

If you're going for a glamorous look and want to splurge on threads by today's top designers, The Shoppes at Palazzo does not disappoint.

For those entering the 450,000-square-foot mall from the resort's casino, immediately you'll notice the natural lighting, lush foliage and a beautiful two-story waterfall. Even if you're just window shopping, taking a stroll through this section brightens your mood.

Just behind the cascading waterfall facade, you'll find Barney's New York. Spanning 85,000 square feet of retail space, Barney's is popular among Hollywood stars. You may even spot a celebrity or two going on a shopping spree. Barney's carries everything from accessories and shoes to evening wear and work attire from the hottest brands.

Not sure where to start? Barney's offers a complimentary personal shopping service. These consultants will take the time to coordinate outfits for you and help you achieve your best look. Finally -- it's your turn to have a "Pretty Woman" moment! Barney's also carries designer jeans from Citizens of Humanity, Stella McCartney and 7 for All Mankind.

Shoppers absolutely crazy for 7 for All Mankind jeans are in luck: The Shoppes at Palazzo has its own separate store. Other apparel shops include Salvatore Ferragamo, Chloé, Tory Burch, Michael Kors, Fendi and Burberry. Don't forget to check out the artsy, colorful threads of Diane von Furstenberg. And of course, an outfit isn't complete without the perfect pair of heels. The Shoppes at Palazzo features fine retailers like Jimmy Choo and Christian Louboutin. Victoria's Secret offers something for everyone, no matter what your budget may be.

Whether you're a bookworm or a collector, Bauman's Books carries a selection of timeless classics ranging from the 15th to the 20th century. Since a lot of these books were part of the first publishing, they do come with a hefty price tag. But if you're looking to add to your library and want one of the original copies of your favorite book, then we say it's worth every penny.

The restaurants within The Shoppes at Palazzo are just as refined. If you can't decide if you want Asian or Latin fare, SushiSamba makes it easy. Enjoy eclectic sushi and tempura plates, as well as Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian-infused dishes. You'll leave satisfied and wonder why nobody ever thought of combining these culinary delights much earlier. You can't leave without trying a fruity and flavorful Sambatini, which changes each month. There's also a variety of virgin cocktails, Latin and Japanese classics as well as Samba Signature drinks to choose from.

Speaking of drinks, the 2,100-square-foot Double Helix Bar + Double Helix Boutique includes a circular bar featuring more than 50 wines by the glass.

Other fine dining restaurants include Cut by Wolfgang Puck and Table 10 by Emeril Lagasse. Satisfy your taste buds with a stop by Sweet Surrender, offering creative cupcake and dessert options.

If you want even more shopping and dining options, the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian is just next door, right behind Barney's.
