Meadows Mall Review

Meadows Mall has all of the old stand-bys such as JC Penney and Macy's as well as specialty stores for every budget.

As with most malls, the parking is plentiful by the department stores; the best place to park, however, is in the back of the mall near Sears, at the "Yellow" entrance. From here you can start at the end of the mall, beginning on the second level and returning on the first (or vice versa, if you prefer). The layout is straightforward; stairs and escalators are everywhere.

While you're here, stop in at the Bombay Company -- the store has an eclectic mix of home furnishings and offers some decent sales. It's worth a look, even if you don't buy anything. The clearance section of Sears is expansive -- there are some unbelievable steals here. Stop at K-B Toys if you're big on Barbie dolls and collectible figurines.

If the kids are getting tired of shopping, take them over to the Healthy Living Play Area in the Macy's Court. The 1,640-square-foot soft play area is equipped with toys and activities such as slides and building blocks. Stroller parking, shoe cubbyholes and adult seating are available.

The Meadows' food court offers shoppers a variety of tastes. McDonald's and Villa Pizza offer a quick bite for those on the go. For dessert, why not have a sweet treat from the combination Dairy Queen/Orange Julius.

The Meadows is the perfect spot to browse around during your lunch hour to enjoy hassle-free, unencumbered shopping (in the afternoon hours, however, the mall can get quite busy).
