Mandalay Place Review

Showcasing everything from boutique shops to restaurants and a handful of specialty stores, the 100,000-square-foot Mandalay Place welcomes shoppers in a relaxing, cheerful atmosphere.

While the facility may be a lot smaller than some of the other "mega-malls" on the Strip, Mandalay Place still has all the stores patrons need to complete their shopping experience.

The mall, which features wide walkways, high ceilings and bright lighting, carries a selection of boutique shops women of all tastes will love. For those who like hip, yet affordable clothing and accessories, the ultra-chic boutique Maude offers a colorful variety for $100 or less. Maude's intimate setting also makes for a fun, laid-back shopping experience.

But Mandalay Place isn't just for the ladies -- men can browse through the first-ever Nike Golf store. And for a relaxing, sit-down experience, guys can enjoy the 45-minute Royal Shave at The Art of Shaving. The Art of Shaving also offers merchandise for men who want to bring their barber experience home with them.

For a fun, one-of-a-kind stop, Lush offers fresh handmade cosmetic, bath and body products. Known for its grocery store setting, Lush features everything from fizzing bath balls and soaps to freshly made shampoos and moisturizing lotions. All products are vegetarian and free of animal testing. Scents include avocado, lemon, raspberry and ocean-inspired aromas, to name a few. Shoppers will find themselves smelling and sampling everything.

Other stores include Urban Outfitters, TeNo, Forever Silver, Peter Lik Gallery, Frederick's of Hollywood, Suite 160, Walk In by Robert Cromeans (a hair salon) and much more.

For a one-of-a-kind, "bone-chilling" experience, visitors can stop and get a drink at Minus 5 , which is open from 10 a.m. - 3 a.m. daily. At Minus 5, guests are given parkas and gloves before entering the 23 degree-Fahrenheit (minus 5 degrees Celsius) icy wonderland. Ice sculptures surround the main bar area, while the drink glasses are made completely of frozen water. Minus 5 also has a comforting lodge where guests can warm up after the experience.

Shoppers can access Mandalay Place from Mandalay Bay, the Luxor or from the valet parking area that allows customers to enter mid-way through the center beneath the circular skylight.
