"Eat rice, drink tea, slurp noodles, stay healthy."
The motto rings true. At Rice and Company, you can eat, drink and slurp surrounded by natural wood and stone accents and dim, sultry lighting. The casual-dining restaurant offers a selection of Japanese and Chinese cuisine.
For starters, try cold dishes like the yellowtail ponzu or tuna tartare and guacamole. If you?re after a hot appetizer, pot stickers, tempura salt and pepper calamari and a jumbo lump crab and lobster cake are all options.
A highlight for main courses is the Peking crispy duck. Thin-sliced duck with extra crispy skin is sandwiched between thin moo-shu pancakes and served with julienned scallions and hoisin -- a popular Asian barbecue sauce with a sweet and tangy flavor.
Other menu options include a scrumptious pad Thai, Singapore noodles made with pork, shrimp and curry sauce and various forms of fried rice.
For sushi, there are traditional rolls available like eel unagi and tuna. A list of specialty rolls includes creations like the "Wicked Roll," a combination of spicy tuna, cucumber , yellowtail and avocado in a garlic ponzu.
There are also vegetarian rolls available like the tomato avocado roll and the cucumber roll.
Located on the upper level of the Luxor, Rice and Company has a great location. The restaurant is located by the entrance to Mandalay Place, so you can do a little shopping after dinner.
