Fries three different ways, a burger made fresh, just the way you like it, and spiked milkshakes. How could you not like a joint like this?
Actually, the term "joint" is used loosely, as BLT Burger is actually the brainchild of Chef Laurent Tourondel, world-renowned classically trained chef who now devotes the better part of his time to developing the BLT (Bistro Laurent Tourondel) empire. The original restaurant, BLT Steak, opened in 2004. Since then, BLT Market, BLT Fish, and most recently BLT Burger in the Mirage have opened their doors.
BLT Burger serves gourmet beef, ahi tuna and lamb burgers, hand cut waffle and sweet potato fries and homemade milkshakes. BLT Burger also features wine and beer selections as well as spiked milkshakes. The toasted marshmallow is rich and creamy, and is topped with an actual toasted marshmallow.
The burgers go above and beyond the call of duty. Yes, there are several kinds of beef burger, including Kobe and sirloin, but there are also more inventive burgers, including the lamb tandoori, Tex-Mex and the meatball.
Sides include skinny or fat fries, sweet potato fries and onion rings.
The restaurant has a trendy yet comfortable atmosphere, including a neutral color palette and exposed red brick, with gold upholstery and lots of wood detailing. An illuminated bar features a yellow-glazed lava stone and overhead flat-screen televisions for watching the sporting event du jour.
BLT Burger is open for lunch, dinner and late night snacks.
