STRATTA Review:

Stratta in the Wynn is a dining gem. With a casual atmosphere, Stratta is chef extraordinaire Alex Stratta’s alternative to his over-the-top indulgent restaurant, Alex.

Appetizers at Stratta include the Corsa salad, chopped bits of avocado, corn and mushrooms topped with warm goat cheese.

The clams casino is phenomenal, one of the best in Vegas. Served primarily at dinner time, this East Coast appetizer is done right.

The pappardelle alla bolognese is to die for. A simple, house-made broad noodle pasta is topped with a red wine meat sauce and parmigiano cheese. Other entrées like the seared sea scallops and rigatoni with meatballs, beef short ribs, and cavatelli, ricotta pasta with spicy ground sausage, basil, garlic and tomato confit are heavenly.

For dessert, the chocolate toffee cake is the must have. A thick cappuccino mousse layered between dark chocolate cake with a toffee crunch sprinkled on top and served with whipped or ice cream is sure to please. If you’re allergic to chocolate, toffee or cake, it might be worth the risk and a shot of Benadryl.
