Cravings is a new buffet designed by Adam Tihany, a Milan-trained architect who had designed such highbrow attractions as Le Cirque 2000 restaurant in New York, the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park hotel in London and the eye-catching "wine tower" at the Aureole restaurant in Mandalay Bay.

MGM Mirage officials say Cravings features cooking-show broadcasts from around the world and 13 kitchens where chefs prepare food in front of customers.

The buffet features zebrawood, terazzo floors inlaid with onyx and a metal ceiling imported from France, among other touches.
