The Pub Review:

The Pub at Monte Carlo is the place to watch the big game. It not only features multiple flat screen and big screen televisions, but also serves good bar food and has a huge beer selection.

It would be easy to write The Pub off as "just another sports bar," but dig a little deeper and find the place has a little more substance. For example, try a beer tasting. There are five categories available including a locally brewed menu and a seasonal brew menu. There are also over 15 varieties of artisanal craft beer including New Belgium Ranger, Fat Tire and Moose Drool Ale.

If you're adventurous, mix a little sweet with your beer and try a pub float. These carefully crafted sweet treats include a beer and ice cream. Try the apple pie a la mode, made with Wood Chuck Apple Cider and vanilla ice cream. Or, the banana split made with Wells Banana Bread beer and Young's double chocolate stout with vanilla ice cream.

If you're hungry, bite down on a big Pub burger, like the Hangover Cure, a Black Angus beef patty topped with a fried egg. If you're looking for something on the lighter side, the slow cooked salmon is flavorful and the Pub also features a variety of salads.

There are tender Buffalo or chili garlic wings and the mac and cheese is delicious, made with three cheeses, pancetta and breadcrumbs toasted on the top. The fish and chips are also good--pieces of cod beer battered and fried extra crispy and served with house-made tartar sauce.

In addition to the main dining room area, The Pub has a large beer bar, an upstairs private dining area and an outdoor patio overlooking the Monte Carlo pool. They also have live entertainment like the dueling pianos, so make sure you check when they are playing.
