Lotus of Siam Review:
Despite being lionized in the national press, chef Saipin Chutima hasn't let it go to her head. She's added new dishes such as ginger-steamed sea bass and still serves dishes from the not-so-well-known Chaing Mai (her hometown in Thailand) menu, available on request. From it, try sai ua (basil-studded country pork sausage) and kang hung lay (a rich pork stew concealing whole cloves of garlic). A list of fruity Austrian and German wines makes it all go down easier.
