R Steak & Seafood has been redesigned to integrate old-school charm and service with new-school décor.
The restaurant, located close to the parking garage and valet entrance, is a gem at the Riviera for several reasons. First, the service is good. Our waiter, Bobby, has waited on generations of Riviera patrons for more than three decades. Second, the prices are some of the most reasonable in town, compared to other steakhouses. Third, the restaurant serves good, classic steakhouse fare.
For appetizers, try succulent jumbo shrimp cocktail and or traditional French onion soup. For a more exotic option, there's the Thai coconut steamed mussels.
Steaks like New York strip, a juicy 24-ounce Porterhouse and bone-in ribeye are served with roasted garlic -- a nice touch to smear over your favorite cut of beef. Entrées also include braised short ribs and fish like salmon and swordfish served grilled, sautéed or blackened.
For sides, the creamed corn is delicious, as are the tempura steak fries, large wedges of potato dipped in tempura batter.
R Steak & Seafood features a modern dining room, complete with soft white tufted leather walls, natural wood tables and dark leather club chairs.
