Amidst the bustle of St. Mark’s Square in the Venetian lies a great place to take in the Italian-style scenery while enjoying contemporary bar and grill fare.
Postrio Bar & Grill, a Wolfgang Puck restaurant, features patio-style seating that opens into the square, perfect for people watching. The bar extends out into the café and retreats into a more secluded lounge area. The main dining room is a bit quieter, and private dining rooms are available for parties of up to 100 people.
Start with a roasted pumpkin soup or a Chinois chicken salad. The charcuterie plate is a great way to start the meal and is certainly big enough for two.
Main courses include a pumpkin tortelloni served in a brown butter with butternut squash and toasted pine nuts. This house made tortelloni successfully captures the essence of fall and is a great, upscale comfort food.
The ricotta gnocchi is tender and served with a lot of wild mushrooms. The gnocchi is melt-in-your-mouth and perfect for lunch or dinner.
Other options include a burger or pork chop from the mesquite grill, wood oven pizzas and crispy pork schnitzel with whole grain mustard sauce and Austrian potatoes.
For dessert, try the apple strudel, a flaky pastry served with caramel ice cream. Or, try the raspberry chocolate chip soufflé with stracciatella ice cream.
Postrio is a nice casual place to relax and grab a bite inside St. Mark’s Square.
