Gustav Mauler, the Austrian-born chef-owner, came to this property from Mirage Resorts, where he was a food and beverage executive. The experience shows. The striking design is reminiscent of Finnish architect Alvar Aalto. The cuisine, mostly spit-roasted meats, rustic Italian soups, good pastas and excellent desserts, is by Milan import Emilio LaScalla.
