I was disappointed with my stay at Super 8. Our room was not ready when we arrived so we went to the casino where we played, ate and drank for a few hours. The casino was nice. We checked in to our room and our eyes and lungs started burning from an odor that resembled cat urine. We asked for a different room and got one with no problem however we never received an apology for giving us the first room. It also occurred to us that the rooms were being cleaned as we were first checking in so someone had to know about the cat urine smell but they assigned the room anyway. Our new room was ok but in need of an upgrade and looking threadbare. One strange thing about the room was soda stains on the ceiling. There is supposed to be free wifi, coffee and water in the rooms however it is actually not free as they charged us for it when we left and called it a resort fee. Also they did not tell us that they wrote the password on the back of our room key jacket. I had noticed characters written there and guessed that they might be the password. The internet stopped working after a day. I called the front desk and at that time I was informed that they change passwords once per week. It would have been nice to be informed of what the password was and that it changes once a week when we checked in. Overall, it was an ok place to sleep but don’t expect too much.

First of all, Vegas.com rocks - has a great selection of hotels at the best competitive prices - even paling the big guys like expedia, hotels.com or priceline. Thanks for that.
About the hotel...skip the high priced strip hotels (unless you insist on the experience of staying in lavish settings) and if all you care about is trying your luck at the casino and roaming the strip people watching...give this hotel a serious consideration.
The hotel is situated no more than 0.5 mile from Bellagio/Paris and about 10 mins walk. Rooms are clean and daily room service ensures you have clean linens and bedding. Free breakfast - kinda basic, cereals, bagels etc - not much to complain, but you can always order more (scrambled eggs etc) for an extremely reasonable price.

We got a good deal on this hotel and it is only about a 15 minute walk from the strip. They are in the process of renovation, but we stayed in an un-renovated room which was as dreary as you might expect for an off-strip Super 8. The in-room amenities were minimal and the bathroom tub surround and fixtures were very old and therefore stained with years of wear despite being "clean." This is not a resort, it is a room for sleeping in when you have had too much of the strip.
A word of warning: bring comfortable shoes. While you can get BACK to the hotel from the strip using a taxi, it is near impossible to get a cab to pick you up from Super 8. I called for a ride, waited 30 minutes, and was refused service from 5 different cabbies because I wasn't going far enough. Being a young woman alone, and walking 15 minutes in a pretty dress and heels in that part of town was NOT pleasant.

You truly get what you pay for. It's clean, staff is friendly, and the free breakfast is good, but very basic. There is also a 70's feel to the place...looks like it hasn't been remodeled since then. The only bad thing I can really say is that the room had a funny smell, like something left in the dryer too long. It was unnoticeable after a few minutes but def there every time we walked back in. Not too too bad tho...the hotel also smells a bit like smoke. Honestly, if you are trying to save money but don't want to stay in a dangerous, nasty hotel this is a good bet. We were comfortable

Good: Cont. Breakfast. Plenty of coffee drinks, Lots of TV channels.
Comfortable room. Fair customer service.
Bad: Weak internet access could get any, Sink was slow draining.
Door lock didn't swipe very good
Ugly: Lots of stains on the old (not very colorful) rug
Behind the bed: seem to look like there was paper wrappers or
one of those "Smutt advertisements" leaflets you see all over town
Other than that
I slept very well.

This hotel is good for a one night stay. Wasn't very noisy. Carpets were a little dirty so throw some flip flops on, bed was clean and that's all that mattered. One thing that made me a little mad was I believe the hotel directly had a better price than this site but regardless... decent hotel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by John45 Good location ... Great value
This hotel was about 1/4 the cost of the big Las Vegas Strip hotels on the weekend I stayed. The location was great. The rooms were average. The bathroom was a bit below average ... it looked a bit old. However, for the price this hotel was an outstanding value.
