This is a peaceful hotel that provides all the accommodations that it promises.
The hotel room is beautifully designed, and it also has a lovely view.

Had a great time!
My fiancé and I had a great time at this hotel. We wanted to stay away from the Vegas strip for a change. Of course we went to the strip to see shows and have a good time in downtown, but at the end of the night we would come home to our nice quiet and very clean room. We were very impressed with the great security this hotel has. The security guards were always very courteous and aware of the guests. Great job gentlemen! If your looking for quiet off the strip hotel. This a great place. Would definitely stay here again.

Good value for your buck
The property is easy to get to and has lots of parking. Wasn't too impressed with the elevators being towards the end of the property. They should be closer to the front desk. I had to walk down a long hallway to get there. Then I was met by a security guard that wanted to see my key. Once I got in the elevator I had to put my key in a slot to get to my floor. Thought this was a bit redundant. The Wi-Fi worked really well and fastest I have seen in a Las Vegas hotel. I ate the Feast Buffet and for 16 bucks wasted my money. The food was cheap, bland and didn't offer much in selection. Too many vegies and starches and very little meat dishes. The resort fee wasn't $14.99 as advertised but over 16 bucks.

Excellent except for the towls and bedd mattress.
This is a beautiful hotel and casino with exelent prices. I would of have given this hotel a 4 star rating if the towls and bed mattress were better. We only had large two towls per day, as a honeymooner, we had to use the shower several times during the day and night and the towls were only good enough for one time plus they were rough to the touch. The mattress in our King Size bed was not firm at all. It felt good once we went to sleep becasue we were tired but a better mattress would of made it a better night.

Sunset Station has all amenities, off The Strip
As part of a wedding party, we booked 6 rooms through Vegas.com and were very pleased with our choice. Initially I contacted Sunset Station directly to book rooms, but found I could get better reservations at the same hotel through the wholesaler Vegas.com at lower rates and with more favorable cancellation terms. Moreover, the staff at Vegas.com was friendlier and offered great advice about making the most of our stay, while the hotel staff was generally disinterested. The nondiscretionary Amenities Fee ($14.99+tax) included basic internet service, but once we were in our rooms, it appeared that internet was an additional charge. We called the front desk and found out that if we signed up for the Basic internet service at an additional $9.99, that charge would be refunded on checkout. It seemed to me that the policy was set up so that guests might sign up for the premium service without asking what was included in the amenities fee. That said, our stay at Sunset Station was entirely pleasant. The rooms were clean and secure and the amenities were everything we needed. Mattresses were generally comfortable although the pillows (3 to a bed) were foam and the blankets were somewhat thin and stiff. There is a movie theater and kids arcade as well as limited fast food (Sbarro pizza and Panda Express) at the far end of the casino. The better rooms had a nominal view of the mountains in the distance (beyond the parking lot) . Parking was unsheltered, but the lot was large and free of charge. The first members of our group checked in and requested the reserved nonsmoking rooms to be assigned in a block, which the desk clerk arranged on the spot. As hotel guests, we received discounts at the restaurant and Starbucks in the casino. Some of our party got further discounts by signing up for the casino's Boarding Pass rewards card, which had been recommended by the booking agent at Vegas.com. The Boarding Pass included a few dollars of complimentary gambling credits and entitled holders to 50% off the breakfast buffet ($5 instead of $10). One minor problem occurred when the weather got very very windy: there was a fixed vent in the bottom of the windows which allowed the wind to blow in with a force and noise that billowed the curtains and sounded like a fan was running. Similar vents appeard to be in several of the rooms, but the noisy draft was only a problem in one room. Bottom line: I would definitely return to Sunset Station if staying on The Strip was not a priority--and I would make my reservations through Vegas.com
