With a refreshingly modern Spanish theme, Sunset Station is ideal if you're looking for accommodations in Henderson, a suburban area about 20 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. This resort, which primarily caters to locals, is also an affordable, almost boutique-style hotel for leisure, family and business travelers.

Conveniently located off the I-515/U.S. 95 at the corner of Sunset Road and Marks Street, Sunset Station is in close proximity to the Galleria at Sunset mall and countless attractions like golf courses and the Ethel M Chocolate Factory. It makes for a good base when exploring Lake Mead and Hoover Dam as well. But if you arrive and don't leave Sunset Station during your stay, you'll still experience exciting nightlife, fine dining, unique entertainment and numerous recreational pursuits that make for a truly wonderful vacation.

Indeed, there's never be a dull moment here, thanks to live concerts held in Club Madrid, a state-of-the-art lounge that seats 500 people, or the outdoor Sunset Amphitheater. Sunset Station also boasts a 13-screen cinema with an IMAX theater and the stylish, state-of-the-art Strike Zone Bowling Center. Boasting 72 lanes and featuring cosmic bowling at night, the facility also houses the Kingpin Lounge (where you can play pool), a snack bar and pro shop.

Unrivalled gastronomy is at Sunset Station, as the resort offers multiple restaurants along with the Feast Buffet and a food court. The Sonoma Cellar Steakhouse is known for both its aged, prime cuts of beef and its modern California cuisine. At Pasta Cucina, you can enjoy old-style Italian classics in a spectacular garden setting. For a casual meal at any time of day, there's the Grand Café. It's easy to find -- just look for the restored Orenstein & Koppel #791 locomotive. And for a fun dining experience with a variety of margaritas, you can't go wrong at Cabo Mexican Restaurant. Plus, guests can indulge in fresh seafood at the hip Oyster Bar or world-famous chicken wings served by curvy waitresses in tight tank tops at Hooters.

The hotel's artfully designed center bar, called the Gaudi Bar, has a light and airy space with a laid-back vibe. Surrounded by stained glass in interesting curves, you'll feel like you've been transported to one of famed architect Antoni Gaudí's buildings in Spain. There are plenty of other places to sip on cocktails and converse at Sunset Station -- including the Martini Bar, Rosalita's Cantina, the Seville Bar and the Bullfighter's Bar.

Visitors are sure to be enticed by the casino. In addition to more than 2,400 slot and video poker machines, you'll find nearly 40 different table games, a bingo hall, a keno lounge, a nonsmoking poker room and a 300-seat race and sports book.

At Sunset Station, the comfortable, spacious rooms and suites have everything needed for relaxation or work. All accommodations come with cable TVs, in-room movies, hair dryers and built-in data ports.
