Unorganized, incredibly poor customer service dealing with their own mistakes. After waiting through "regular" MGM Grand's check in (30 min wait), we make our way the seeming mile to "The Signature." Upon check in, the key machine isn't working. They told us to come back down later to get our key...I said I don't want to wait in line again and they should bring it up to us. The guy walks us to our room, we wait, and wait, and wait. Go back down and he has the keys ready so we stick them in our pocket and are off for the day. Coming back to our room at 9pm, we stick our key in and it doesn't work. We look at the envelope and it says 609...we were at 607! So we walk over to 609 thinking we made a mistake and what do you know...we walk in to room 609 and it is full of someone else's belongings. I call down, explain everything, and the idiot on the phone keeps thinking that I lost my key. NO! I DIDN'T LOSE MY KEY! YOU GAVE ME A KEY TO THE WRONG ROOM!! We wait, and wait, and wait for someone to bring up the correct key and they never come. I go back down and the man at the front desk says that only a manager can bring up a key, the girl on the phone was incorrect and nobody was on their way up there because there isn't a manager here right now. I ask to speak to the manager and after waiting 20 min for her to arrive, all she does is comp us $75 of room service. Which might I add, can buy you about 2 entrees. She neglected to mention that it doesn't include the tax, tip, or room service fees. So we end up ordering room service, which we wouldn't EVER do and pay an additional $20 on the extra fees that our $75 didn't cover. It was an AWFUL experience with POOR POOR POOR customer service. We were so impressed with the room but it is not worth it to deal with those people and the fact that it is a 20 min walk to the front of the building. May 10, 2013
Just like the advertisement said! MGM Signature was great Everything from the amazing front lobby, to the great staff and awesome pool area, this hotel has it all. And its far enough from the strip to be quiet but close enough to walk easily. I highly recommend this place! May 6, 2013
Great place. Will stay there every time I go to Vegas. Very quiet and clean and excellent staff. May 5, 2013
A few minor glitches A few minor issues with our stay: We never received the wake up call we requested on our leaving day, the light in the shower was out, and the location of the hotel is quite far from the strip. It would be nice to provide a regular shuttle service to areas on the strip other than just the walk-through to the MGM Grand (which is very long from tower 3), especially given the upscale / luxury accommodations. April 27, 2013
Bring your own food! While the room was fabulous and the customer service was excellent, the food throughout the entire establishment was way over priced. The only place in the facility where the food was cheap was at mcdonalds and who wants to eat at mcdonalds while they are on vacation. We actually had to go grocery shopping so we could eat. We played slots while we were there and the payout was terrible. I would have been better off playing at our local Indian casinos. I wish I had. April 23, 2013
The Signature at MGM Grand Was Excellent!!!!! Since this was our first time to Vegas we spent a lot of time trying to decide where to stay. Well all I can say is we made the right decision in picking The Signature at MGM Grand. Our suite had an excellent view of the mountains as well as part of the strip. Loved the jacuzzi tub especially after coming back from our ATV Tour. Room was tastefully decorated and housekeeping did an excellent job. Neither of us found the walk to the strip very long or difficult. We switched it up with either cutting through MGM Grand or walking outside. There was no Casino in this hotel but we did gamble at the MGM Grand. The only complaint I have is the perfume smell in the Casino. It was a bit much at times. That being said we would definitely recommend The Signature at MGM Grand to our friends and family. And if we ever come back to Vegas we would not hesitate to stay there again. April 22, 2013
Nice, out of the way retreat. The facility was a great escape from the strip. Accommodations were very nice and the service was excellent. Only got to the pool one day due to the unusually cold and windy weather, but it appeared to be as nice as the rest of the establishment. The employees were friendly and very helpful. April 22, 2013
awesome hotel Great hotel. Loved it. Only suggestion I have would be to put a gate at the corner of Harmon at the Tower 1 pool for entrance so guest don't have to walk up the car entrance to enter the property. April 20, 2013

Luggage drop-off?

I do not travel very often so I don't know how the check-in process will go. My flight gets in at 11:40am on a Monday. I have arranged shuttle service from the airport to the Strip. Can I go to the Signature and check in and leave my luggage there, even if it's not official check-in time yet? Likewise, on Friday, I assume check-out is at 11am, but my flight home isn't until 4pm. Can I leave my luggage at The Signature until I go to the airport?

Answer:
We arrived early, but as rooms were made up they were happy to check us in. A good tip - you can check in at the airport...at the far end of the baggage collection hall, near carousel 1. We did this while waiting for our luggage, so saved a few minutes - were given room keys there and able to go straight up, once our taxi dropped us off. Make sure you tell taxi which tower you are in!
Likewise, we weren't flying out til late, so you can leave your luggage and go out for the day - no hassles!

Yes. If you are a guest at the Signature at MGM Grand just go to the Bell Desk. You can leave your luggage there until check-in or after checkout until you depart for the airport. There is no fee for their luggage service.

Answer:
I did not fly in since I live in Arizona, but when I arrived at the guard booth they check for your name and give you a parking pass. They will then tell you which tower you are supposed to go to and how to get there (very nice gated entry area) when you pull up to your building there will be valet there that will take your bags in for you and have them put in your room.

As far as the leaving question, I did not leave at check out either. So I went to the front desk to ask this same question. They informed me to talk to the valet and let them know you checked out, but are not leaving right away so they will take your bags and tag them with your name. They hold them in a secure room as well. You could also pay a small fee (can't remember how much) for a late check out if you would like.

I hope this helps! I was extremely happy with my stay and the hotel.

Answer:
Even though I did not utilize their offer, but I was allowed early check in. I think we arrived just before 1pm when normal check in time is 3pm. At that time, they offered to hold my bags while I run around town until check in time. As mentioned, I did not have to use that because they found a room ready for me. You will not be disappointed in the level of customer service you will receive. The valet took our bags from the taxi, tagged them and then delivered them to our room so that we did not have to carry them. We used the kitchen and went grocery shopping, and they even took our grocery bags to the room. Excellent, top notch service.

Luggage drop off on arrival and departure is easy at the Signature. Both can be done just outside the reception doors at each tower. You will have to figure out what tower you are in on check in.

When the shuttle drops you off the bell staff will take your luggage and give you a ticket. When you check in, give the ticket to the staff person and they will have your bags delivered to your room. They will do the same when you are ready to check out and hold your luggage until you retrieve it from the valet/bell desk.

Answer:
I can't answer the part about leaving luggage at the hotel if you get there before check-in time (we traveled with just a small backpack each), but the Signature does have a check-in desk in Terminal 1. We checked in, got our room keys, and were able to go direct to the room when we arrived at the hotel. If you're allowed to check-in at the airport like we did, my assumption is that by the time you got to your room, you'd be able to leave your luggage in the room rather than at the desk. It's worth a phone call before you go. Have fun!

Answer:
There is valet parking at the Signature. There is no charge, but you are expected to tip. If you don't use the valet parking at the Signature, you can use the self parking garage at the MGM Grand, but it is a bit of a walk. Fine if you are in shape, but if anyone in your party uses a cane or you are carrying luggage, you will probably want to valet. The valet can get busy on weekends and holidays.

The rooms have flat-screen televisions. Size varies by room, I believe the smallest is 27 or 32 inches

Answer:
The valet parking is free. I rented a car while I was there. I usually tipped the valet when they brought out the car, but the service itself is free. We stayed in the one bedroom deluxe suite. There was a TV in the living room, a hidden TV in the bedroom and a small TV in the bathroom. I believe the TV's in the living room and bedroom are about a 42" flat screen LCD. I am not 100% sure, we never watched TV while there.

We just stayed in a room with two queen beds. It was cozy and I was glad we only stayed one night. If we were needing two queen beds in the future at Signature we'd go with a one-room suite for more elbow room. But it was comfortable, spotless, and has the mini-kitchen.

Parking Question

If there is no parking garage..."No, but the resort offers valet parking and guests have full access to the MGM Grand's seven-story parking garage."
Are guests' cars parked on the hot Vegas sun? Is there an underground parking garage where Valet takes the cars or are they driven to the MGM?
Thank you.

Answer:
If you valet park at Signature, your car will be taken to an underground parking garage. It will not be parked in a surface lot out in the sun. Unfortuanately, the Signature doesn't have a free self-parking garage. So customers who want to avoid that service are welcome to park in the MGM Grand's sprawling parking garage, and then walk over to the Signature.

Answer:
Yes it charges $25 a night resort fee. Not sure what it was for as the pool was not available in our building when I got there. Since there were 3 buildings that wasn't an issue.
