The Pool at Mandarin Oriental

Located on the eighth floor at Mandarin Oriental, the sophisticated and relaxing pool feels like you're in another world. 

The décor of the pool area quickly grabs your attention. How often do you see cherry blossom-painted walls in cabanas, contemporary furniture in fun colors like yellow green, orange and gold as well as breathtaking views of neighboring hotels all in one spot? In addition, the overhead jazz music pairs perfectly with the serene atmosphere. And because of the location of the pool, it has one of the prettiest sunset views you'll ever see. 

There are two lap pools, one Jacuzzi and one plunge pool, along with plenty of spots to unwind. These include lounge chairs (with or without umbrella shade) and even couches on elevated platforms. The pool offers 17 cabanas, each featuring a sectional couch with bright colored pillows, ceiling fans and misters.

The café is not to be missed. Diners can choose items like a tuna caprese salad (tomato, pesto, mozzarella, sashimi and Spanish olive oil) or even a refreshing cold gazpacho soup. Comfort food like freshly made chicken fingers with a signature sauce is also available. Vegetarians can savor the café's edamame falafel wrap with crinkle-cut sweet potato fries. The mochi and fruit dessert is not to be missed -- this beautifully presented plate includes three mochi flavors (lychee, mango and strawberry), kiwi, strawberries and star fruit topped with a fresh flower.
