Caesars Palace pool ReviewIf you've ever ventured through Caesars Palace, chances are you probably got lost within the huge property (at least) a couple of times. At the resort's five-acre Garden of the Gods pool, it's easy to lose your way here too. But we can honestly say you'll have a blast by doing so! Offering eight pools, this sprawling area provides something for everyone. Once you get used to your surroundings, you can't wait to take a dip in all the pools. And with the stunning, dramatic Roman architecture and sculptures, it's almost like being in Italy. The huge Temple pool includes central fountains where kids (as well as the kid in all of us) can splash around and cool off from the summer heat. Couples can sit by the breathtaking 18-foot waterfall at the Fortuna pool and enjoy some quality time. The Fortuna pool also offers swim-up blackjack and a nearby bar. Not too far from the Fortuna pool, Neptune's rectangular pool makes it easy for swimmers to do laps. Jupiter offers a quieter place to soak up the rays and take a dip. Surrounded completely by cabanas, Jupiter is also ideal to enjoy outdoor spa services, like the suntan lotion massage. If you want to tan and socialize, the Apollo pool provides plenty of sun exposure and chaise lounges. For private events, the two VIP Bacchus pools are reserved for celebrity or invited guests. For a luxurious day at the pool, splurge on one of the extra-soft, plush daybeds. Each bed is so cushiony you'll want to take one home with you. These daybeds recline and can adjust to the angle of your liking. The daybeds in front of the cabanas offer misters overhead, so you can take a nap as the cool water lightly splashes your face. The white and blue furnishings with tan wicker accents give the cabanas a sophisticated, nautical look. If you and your friends decide to splurge on one, each cabana comes with a flat-screen television, fully-stocked fridge with water, juice and soda, a ceiling fan and plenty of couch space. Your cabana attendant will also bring over a refreshing, chilled fruit plate. Looking for the perfect summertime drink? The Jolly Rancher Mojito is divine. Using melon rum as a base, the drink includes generous chunks of kiwi and strawberry. The mint leaves and lime serve as nice, light complement without overpowering the drink. The expansive menu offers a wide selection, including seafood, classic comfort food, healthy snacks and vegetarian options. If you're ready to take your pool partying to another level, make sure to check out Venus Pool Club. The 21-and-older pool club plays the latest in hip-hop and house music, as well as occasional live performances by celebrities. Ladies may opt to tan topless here too. With so many different places to swim, lounge and socialize, the Garden of the Gods really does the Romans proud. -- Review by Jeannie Borbe |
