BadNY
Even when the room is non-smoking, it still smells like a smoking room.
Could not get the rooms desired!!!

Great hotel, great location
NY NY didn't disappoint. It was great to have pool and gym access included in the resort fee and not have to pay extra just for those things like some of the "other" hotels. Don't expect to be blown away by the pool scene but it was nice nonetheless. Incredibly easy access to MGM Grand, Excallibur and Tropicana and a super easy (free!) tram to Mandalay bay and Luxor. Within EASY walking distance even to the Bellagio. NYNY theme carried very well throughout, it was a great atmosphere! Gonna go back soon

Still Love the Big Apple
NYNY is just so easy. The casino is big, but not too big. The rooms are nice for the price. Valet parking is easy. Lots of food choices. My favorite thing about NYNY is the high ceiling in the casino...that means less smoke and you don't feel so trapped. I like it there...easy with MGM and their buffet across the street too...

The service all around is awesome ! Good location
We were a bit disappointed upon arriving at 3pm to find we still had to wait another few hrs to get our room. Service excellent all around and hotel in a good location. Pool has a lot to be desired, not much room so chairs are crammed together, price of drinks at the pool are very expensive.! Room was excellent, clean, bed awesome had the best sleep ever. I would go back and would recommend it to others . Caly,Ottawa,Ontario

Hotel Suited for all - Great value
We stayed at New York, New York for 4 nights, thurs - monday in May. This hotel has everything. The location is excelllent, for walking to other hotels on the strip, the crowd is a great mix of young and old - our party of 4 had folks ranging from 32 - 53, early sleepers and night owl partiers and we were all able to enjoy the hotel. The food at the restuarants are excellent and reasonably priced (for Vegas). The italian bakery is pricy, but oh so good. The casino pays better (we thought) than some of the others we tried and seemed to have more traffic (good people watching). Free drinks were abundant - you never have to wait more than a couple of minutes for a waitress to come by. The only downside - the pool is shadowed by the "buildings" in the morning and it's small (but recently renovated). So get up early to get your seat.
Tip: Get the MLife player's card as soon as you arrive and visit the Player's desk an hour before you check out. We're not heavy gamblers (dropped between $300 - $500 each over a 4 day period), and the hotel comp'd our resort fees and room upgrade before we checked out - that's $150 savings per couple! Plus, 500 points on your MLife card = $10 free slot play! And the card can be used at a lot of the other hotel casinos. Totally worth the 2 seconds it takes to sign up, even if you'll never use it again.
We'd all stay at New York, New York again - great value for a great hotel with lots to see and do!

Really enjoyed the experience and will return in future
Overall experience was excellent. We had one very surly bar tender in the lobby bar that refused us drinks until we lost 20 dollars in black jack. That seemed ridiculous and unreasonable, given the amount of gambling we did in the hotel overall. I would love to see a shuttle service that would take you down to the other end of the strip. The walking is difficult given the number of detours and over passes. The main bar in the casino was great. Loved the DJ music and performance by the Michael Jackson impersonater. The cover charge to see the dualling pianos seemed excessive. Coffee /shop bakery near the elevator was awesome. The breakfast in the restaurant near the lobby was very poor quality.
