M Resort

The architecturally-dynamic M Resort is a gem on the Las Vegas Strip about 10 miles south of Mandalay Bay with unparalleled amenities, service and quality. Sitting on 90 acres of land at an elevation 400 feet higher than any other Strip hotel-casino, M Resort was created for Las Vegas residents by a native of the city, Anthony A. Marnell III. 

But with unique offerings like a wine cellar and unparalleled views of the valley, this horizontally stunning glass-framed hotel is a destination for both locals and Vegas visitors.

Marnell designed and hand picked just about all the intricate touches at M Resort, right down the china used in many of the restaurants. His theory is that if you're putting your name on something, you don't want to leave anything to chance.

This personal attention is evident in all areas of M Resort, from the hundreds of fresh white Calla lilies in the lobby to M's U-shaped design, which allows just about every venue to overlook the stunning Villaggio Del Sole Pool and Entertainment Piazza. Even M Resort's meeting and banquet space has a roomy outdoor terrace above the pool, while the state-of-the-art fitness center offers prime views through floor-to-ceiling windows.

Standard rooms are upscale but casual with dark tones and custom furniture, modern sound systems, electronic "do not disturb" signs and views of either the valley or mountains. Upon entering the room, guests can place their key card in a designated holder on the wall, which not only keeps it safe, but also turns on the room lights. Remove your key when leaving, and lights will turn off 30 seconds later, helping to conserve energy if you forget to turn out the lights. 

From casual to five-star dining, all nine restaurants at M Resort are owned in-house and offer competitive pricing. There's the Italian style Marinelli’s and the steak and ocean cuisine of Terzetto. Veloce Cibo offers sushi, tapas and gorgeous views from its 16th floor locale. Already a popular dining destination for locals, buffet-in-the- round Studio B serves house beer and wine as part of its overall price. Attached is the Studio B show kitchen for private cooking demonstrations, which are then showcased on 117 screens within the buffet.

Listings of past Super Bowl point spreads and MVPs decorate the walls of Vig Deli, which offers classic junk food like wings and pizza, perfect for those watching a game in the attached race and sports book. At 92,000 square feet, the casino also includes close to 2,000 video and slot machines, 64 table games, a poker room and high limit lounge. Complimentary self-serve soda fountains are available to keep gamers hydrated.

Those looking for something stiffer than soda have plenty of options including the 32 Degree Draft Bar, the M Bar and a lobby bar with live piano music on the casino level and a wine cellar/tasting room with self-serve wine dispensers, Hostile Grape, below.

The therapeutic Spa Mio is an oasis of relaxation with 16 treatment rooms, a sauna and a steam room. Even the attached salon offers shampoo stations with electronically operated massage chairs.

One of the many ways M Resort caters to locals is by offering several different property entrances with nearby parking. Those stopping by to use the spa can park and enter close to the spa. Those interested in placing a bet can park and enter by the race and sports book. There is also a full-service pharmacy off the casino floor that is open to guests and locals, as well as a gas station on the property. Players can redeem points for certain products at the pharmacy and gas station.
